Thanks, those were just off the top of my head. I am tempted to get up, take down my Dolphins calender and look at some of the facts, but that would simply require too much work lol. Just playin'.

I really like your idea for this thread though. I wish it would have had a longer life on the main forum, I think it really does belong there.

you forgot about the Bucs. THey are an expansion team and won the Superbowl in 2003.

Wrong.
The Jaguars and Panthers entered the league after the Bucs and prior to 2003, thus preventing them from being an expansion team.

unless you are an original team in the league, you will always be considered an expansion team. You may not be the newest team but you are still an expansion team.
 
One more piece of trivia.

The Fake Spike play was used in the manga/anime Eyeshield 21 by the team of the main character, the Deimon Devil Bats.
 
Um..tis is not really a "little' known fact..but i didint knoe it till like september..)) So...Dolphins and cowboys are tied for the most wins on monday nite football.
 
Miami had the first two 1,000 yard rushers on the same team in Larry Csonka (1117) and Mercury Morris (1000) in 1972. There's something else about the '72 Dolphins that made history. I cannot seem to place it for the life of me!
 
The fake spike play was designed by (cant remeemer the name..but rememer the face) the guy out of the U..he played for the browns for a while..went to three AFC titles games..and lost to ellway all three tiems (or was it two?) Who was fired by bellichick, and then sigend with cowboys, and finished his career backin up marino..Im sur odler guys noe who im talkin bout.

You are correct, but he wrote: 1. The Miami Dolphins are the first team to appear in three consecutive Super Bowls (71, 72, 73) and the first AFL/AFC to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
