Hell of a haul so far...

This early signing does hurt us as we have little time to get out and work the recruits...regardless, it looks like Miami is doing a good job keeping its locals.

That December signing rule is made to order for the Canes. I never care what our class looks like with a month to go because I know there will be erosion. This time I knew it would stick.

I wonder if the NCAA will get rid of it if the results don't cooperate...like the states that have eliminated or shortened early voting?

Light on defensive tackles but that's somewhat understandable because that position is not a strength in South Florida. We haven't fared well lately in targeting that position outside the region.

The only kid I saw several times in person is Frierson the safety and kick returner from Coral Gables. He plays like a Cane out there...tons of athletic arrogance. He's already a superior kick returner than Jeff Thomas.

At one point he could ‘barely’ lift the ball. Now Malik Rosier is ready to air it out

“My shoulder got really banged up and after that it was bothering me throughout the year. Having three weeks off just to heal and rest and work with Vinny [Scavo] and the training staff has been amazing.’’

“I was going to have to suck it up and play or I was going to have to just give the job up,’’ Rosier said. “And I’m not ready to give the job up.’’

Not sure how I feel about this. Not sure that Shirreffs would have done better but..... what position would we have been in with one loss?

Hoping for a ND type of atmosphere at the Rock tomorrow night. I'll be screaming my lungs out. Last excitement for a while for South Florida sports until the NBA playoffs start, and probably end relatively quickly for us.

I'm already starting to see some Badgers fans in town. They're known to travel well. Nice people though.

The battle for Surtain Jr. With Georgia and Alabama is gonna be a tough one.... Encouraging that he's been at practice for the OB this week and will taken an OV with us. But long as we land Campbell I'm good.

Storm18 is gonna be a memorable class.

LSU might have the inside track for Surtain. If the other 3 from Heritage should come our way we'll be fine.

Signing day projection for Patrick Surtain Jr.

In addition to Florida and LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State are the schools still being considered by Surtain. He still has all five official visits remaining and plans to take trips in January. Florida is expected to receive a visit from Surtain, and he will get red-carpet treatment from Dan Mullen and his staff. The Gators can offer Surtain proximity to home, early playing time and their own “DBU” track record. Perhaps another trip to Florida will shake up his recruitment again, but Surtain is LSU bound barring a major recruiting upset.

Surtain Sr. has taken a step back to let his son wrestle with the decision. So has his mother. However, having extended family in Louisiana is not something to look past. It’s not the sole factor, but it could play a role in that highly sought-after level of comfortability.

“It does help that we have family there,” Surtain Sr. explained. “My side of the family is in Baton Rouge. My wife’s is in Gonzales, about 15 minutes away, and then more of my family in New Orleans. It’s pretty close. … Pat can’t put all his eggs into one basket; he has to go where he feels comfortable. We’re not pushing him to this place or that place because we have family there.

That play calling was brutally bad, even after a fumble that wasn't

People completely underestimated how beat up and tired this Miami team was at the end of the season. No real bye week and really never had a mental break all year. Team just lacked the depth to overcome all that.

They look fresh out there tonight tho and their play is backing that up. Great first quarter.

That running game will be scary next year.

Looked like a clear fumble to me. Ball started coming out well before the knee and elbow hit.

As much as Rosier frustrates me that was just more of an athletic play by Wisconsin.

Both tds on early throws that hit the wr right as he turns. Timely stuff also a bit fortunate as well for Wisconsin.

    Shake it off D.

Yep coach almost got ejected for it. The amount of hands to the face and holding calls on Harris tonight that have not been called have been pretty substantial.

I mean you are talking a potential strip if he isn't held but then not to even call it and they convert on 3rd and 11 . . . Yea He should be pissed.

But then on the next play the same OL gets Harris in the face and holds him again.

But this game was turned on its head by the Rosier TO. Can't happen.

That's what limits us with Rosier. One stupid play, total momentum turner and he cannot shake it.

I am calling out Rosier and Feagles this half. Hopefully we won't have to deal with Feagles but those two need to redeem themselves for the inconsistency this season. This is the last 30 minutes of football for the season and for these seniors.

Yea I have to agree. He just goes into a shell. I thought he was mentally tough because of the early season comebacks but he has shown it was more the luck of something good happening over any mental toughness he may display.

He earned the right to play this game, but if he is the opening day starter next year then I'd say we failed in recruiting at the QB position.

Literally Rosier's best overall play since the ND game.

Rosier is not that type of QB. They need to mix in the run.

You also have to look at the level of competition. I was fooled as well but when you look at teams like Clemson and maybe Wisconsin they brutally take advantage of mishaps like that.
Rosier is a good QB who can bring your team back into the top 25 and maybe crack the top 10. But I don't think he is a QB you can ride into a National Championship.
