YESSS isaiah ford vt we got a steal this guy can ball
FFS wasted pick.
At least it was a 7th rounder.
Wow, is that a reflection on Carroo?
Bring on the UDFAs...
Congrats Miami Dolphins on a great ****ing draft. Extremely happy.
And for the defensive heavy haul . . .
but how is he going to get on the field when we have Stills, Parker, Laundry and Carroo?
I've seen him rated as a 3-4 rd pick...
Not a burner but quite an explosive broad/vert jump for 6'1.
Can you expand on how this was a wasted pick? Or are you just saying this just for the sake of saying it?
So other than Harris you're happy with our draft?
It's a 7th rounder FFS. People always find a reason to *****.
What a draft
Honestly have been reading all your posts in a sarcastic tone haha.
I loved watching Ford here at VT. Great wideout and can definitely be a good #2 in the NFL
NFL teams carry more than 4 receivers, so I don't think this has anything to do with Carroo, Parker, Stills or Landry. I wish Coley had fallen instead.
Now it's time to take a breath and see what udfa are signed.
I get its the 7th but a DE, FS, CB developmental guy is better than a position thats filled.
Ford is intriguing. If he played with a better qb, he could've been a 3rd rounder. Good catch radius.
There's no wasted pick in the 7th round. You just go for talent at this point.
20th ranked wideout (but out of 437 LOL)
his 40 hurt his stock.
I'm saying it because the guy is never going to see the field.
We dont need WR depth.
He might be thinking what I'm thinking. How does he get on the field? We traded picks away for Carroo and he couldn't get out there because we have 3 top guys there already. At best he'll be a 4th string by beating Carroo which would mean the FO admits they made a big mistake last year but even then he'd be a ST's player unless someone gets hurt
7th round isn't for filling needs. Its for taking chances on guys that might have been overlooked
Exactly! I don't understand why anyone would think it was a wasted pick. There's the UDFA now to pick from to fill other spots.
why couldn't we draft CBS's #98 ranked best player, a center, for example
95 TYLER ORLOSKY C WEST VIRGINIA
132 KYLE FULLER C BAYLOR
134 JESSAMEN DUNKER OG TENNESSEE STATE
139 CHAD WHEELER OT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
154 CARROLL PHILLIPS OLB ILLINOIS
155 KD CANNON WR BAYLOR
167 JARRON JONES DT NOTRE DAME
169 MALACHI DUPRE WR LSU
170 DAMIEN MAMA OG SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
177 MATTHEW DAYES RB NC STATE
179 JOE MATHIS DE WASHINGTON
182 ERIK MAGNUSON OT MICHIGAN
185 JEREMY CUTRER CB MIDDLE TENNESSEE
186 ERIK AUSTELL OG CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
187 CAMERON TOM C SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI
A WR when we have so many needs!??! Fire everyone!!!! :chuckle:
Interesting pick considering how crowded we are at WR. Like our G pick, but with how thin and ?? our OL is, we only drafted 1 offensive lineman in the draft. I sue hope that means we are looking at FA's or UDFA still out there because 1 fifth round guard isn't going to solve our protection issues. Overall happy with the draft other than spending only a 5th on the line.
6'2 194 WR who ran a 4.61...
I think Carroo is safe:bobdole:...although I wish we had bundled him with a 5th to move into the 4th.
i love this pick i'm a huge vt fan this kid can ball.
he's gonna fight for a bottom roster spot, not a bad pick at all. this was fun, so long boys.
I think a 5th receiver has as much of a role as a 7th round corner on a roster with Howard, Lippett, Tankersley, and Maxwell. I know we need more in the slot but I doubdt you're finding it late in the 7th round.
That sounds silly.
CBS loves our draft
And a other OL pick there in the 7th most likely wouldn't chance our situation on he OL. Take a chance on a guy who you like
Because CBS doesn't watch college football year around.
They don't care about anyone other than the guaranteed 1st rounders. Besides, who gives a rat's *** what a company like CBS cares...anyone for that matter.
CBS gave all our picks today an A or A+
Im happy with Harris. It all makes sense at the end of the day.
Pass rusher for our attacking front, RFM!, strong perimeter press CB, fleet-footed beast of a guard, rotational DT's and a shot in the dark at receiver talent.
A+ grade. easy.
That was a real question? You think Grier is paying attention to the CBS list?
We're not that crowded. Landry and Stills have proven, Parker just needs to be healthy. But after that we have nothing more than the promise of Carroo. You need more than 3 receivers and a maybe in the NFL.
I love this draft too.
The run defense got bigly and younger.
The OG spot was filled.
This team should have very few weaknesses.
