- First of all, USA basketball is pathetic. They got murdered by Puerto Rico today. :shakeno:

- Secondly, the telecasts of soccer are a joke. Olympic soccer is a joke in the first place, but I'm watching Iraq play Costa Rica and they CUT TO A COMMERCIAL in the 80th minute. WTF!

- Also, Michael Phelps finished third in an event so he can't win 8 golds. His 400 meter freestyle relay team finished third but he can still win 7. He has already won one.

Also, the Iranian judo champ who said he wouldn't fight an Israeli did decide to fight, but was disqualified because he was overweight and thus couldn't fight in the weight class he was in. I think it's pretty obvious that he showed up overweight so that he couldn't fight. It's sad that politics and sports are mixing and that a government won't let someone fight because the person he is fighting is from a country they don't like.

They were really pathetic. Also, Iraq is beating Costa Rica right now 2-0 and it's in extra time in the second half right now. The game is on CNBC and this may be the worst soccer telecast I have ever seen. Anyway, this Iraqi team is pretty impressive.

- We beat basketball superpower Greece by 6 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Phelps got 2 more golds today, so now he has 3 golds and 2 bronzes. However, we are still second in the overall medal count. We are tied for having the most medals with China (18), but they have 10 golds and we only have 6 so they have the current advantage.
