Several teams have made the mistake of not doing the proper paperwork, including the browns and the 49rs and their respective free agents which have similar terms of their contracts will be kept through the remaining years of the contract. The Deal was suppose to be voided by their agent and the paperwork was never turned in by the deadline which means that Terrel Owens will stay with the 49rs until 2006. It has been reported clearly by the council that he won't be a free agent. However, the 49rs will likely work on a trade to send him to another team. Dennis Northcutt also suffer the same fate and both agents will file a griviance.

Look's like we would have to trade for him to get him. Dennis Northcutt was another talent out there which lessens our chances of acquiring a big free agent receiver.
