American Heritage - that's a helluva program! Good for junior! So far, he's reflecting well on one of our greatest franchise DBs.

...oh... and thanks for posting this

Interesting. If he wants to be a first round pick Ohio State is DBU.

His dad was awesome. Surtain was easily one of the most underrated players in NFL during his career and hands down better than Sam Madison.

I think he's leaning LSU but all the top schools are after him including FSU , Clemson and Bama.. Mike Rump the Cane's CB coach was his head coach at American season before last then Pat the father took over that program so Miami has an outside chance.

Couldn't give two ****s where he plays college but if e makes the pros, and he is good, bring him on down to Miami.

Love to have him if he keeps getting better in college. Still a ways until the Fin's get a shot at him. If he turns out to be like his dad was he'll be a 1st or 2nd round pick down the road.

Looks like a promising player. His Dad was damn good! I miss the days when we had Surtain, Madison and T-Buck covering. Those boys gave up a lot of big plays, but they made a lot of them too!

He wants to visit Michigan and Harbaugh is a damn good recruiter...Bama isn't on the list, but Clemson, Florida State, Florida, Miami, LSU are, although I never count out Bama in any recruiting race. Jimbo has been landing these big names, more and more each year. He closes as well as anyone and he could have two top 15 DB pick in the upcoming draft. FSU is an easy sell especially if he wants to stay in Florida...LSU may be leading, but Jimbo is magical.

Ohio State: Eli Apple, Malik Hooker, Bradley Roby, Marshon Lattimore, Gareon Conley, Vonn Bell, Kurt Coleman, Malcolm Jenkins.

All are either in the midst of a long stay in the NFL, or are recent high draft picks.

LSU: Tyrann Mathieu, Jamal Adams.... Morris Claiborne? Travis Daniels?

Surtain Jr would be wise to consider Ohio State before making any brash decisions

If he goes to Ohio State he may not play until he's a junior. They are stupid loaded at CB. That's why my money is on LSU.

Right now, he is not even considering Ohio State...from what I have seen, it seems like he would prefer to stay in the South, although he does want to visit Michigan.

LSU does do a solid job recruiting, but last time they went head to head with top 5 players FSU went 2 for 2...Akers and Wilson, come on down.

I guess that depends on how much money LSU is going to pay him...that's usually how they get their DBs from South Florida.

You're forgetting a bunch, including a top 5 corner currently in Patrick Peterson. Eric Reid, Tharold Simon, Delvin Breaux, Jalen Collins, Ron Brooks, Rashard Robinson, Jalen Mills.

Also, I love how you listed Ohio State's recent draftees but conveniently omitted Jamal Adams and Tre White.

Furthermore, LSU's current crop has three future 1st rounders in Kevin Tolliver, Savion Smith and Grant Delpit. Probably Kristian Fulton and Jacoby Stevens too. So the notion that playing time is available at LSU early while not at Ohio State is also false.

Yeah, FSU seems to be our newest thorn besides those asshats in Tuscaloosa for top level talent. I knew Cam Akers was wavering, but Marvin Wilson was the one that hurt.

Please let me know when LSU gets 12 guys drafted in the first 4 rounds in one year, or has 8 first round picks in 2 years.

You can hang your hat on guys like Jalen Mills holding onto a roster spot by the skin of their teeth.

I'll be sure to remind you when yet another Ohio State player wins a Heisman.

At the very least though, LSU players are better than Bama and USC players.

When your in top 5 year in and year out it happens especially when your playing the best team in the country the last 2 years.

10 years ago, 10 years from now, Ohio State will always be in the conversation.

Consistency is what makes a great program. Anyone can land a once in a generation player like Cam Newton, Jameis Winston or Deshaun Watson and have short lived success.

Who can forget Surtain picking the ball off and returning it for a TD late in the game VS Denver when Mare hit the GW FG from I think 53 yds with time expiring?

Love that guy and such a great time to be a Fins fan.

If we had even a guy like RT, we would've been serious contenders back then.

Ricky would get what seemed like 5 yds every time he touched the ball.

Tannehill has never been blessed like Wilson, Flacco, Smith with top 10 or the top D.

In the last 45 years, FSU has had 3 national titles, Ohio State 2....FSU finished in the top 5, 14 years in a row.

In the last 25 years, we have 19 conference championships.

So, please don't give me this consistency thing....Florida State is just as consistent and does so in a much tougher conference...
