    9. Miami (4-3). Most surprising team in the league right now. Tell me: At the end of September, when the Dolphins were 1-3, with losses to the Texans, Jets and Cards, did you think there was any chance they'd be above .500 at any time before 2014? I didn't. But you're always in the game when you can play defense, and the Dolphins can play defense.

Philbin should definitely be a top 3 choice for Coach of the Year imo

Mike Smith might steal it again if the Falcons end up with the top seed in the NFC and/or go [gasp] undefeated.

Finheaven should really remove the Fist Pump icon option from Titles since Tony is now with the Jets.

I would have to give Jeff Ireland some credit too, everyone wanted him gone thought he was making bad decisions and things are looking up for us now. But, Joe Philbin is going to be a great coach for us for the next 10 years.

Falcons sure as hell aren't going undefeated. Not this year not ever.

Falcons faced the terribly tough AFC west so far. Wait til they string together a couple quality wins before we suggest they could go undefeated.

The fist pump, like the John Beck Memorial Thread, have a niche in Dolphins history and should never be removed.

They also gave special teams player of the week to Jimmy Wilson in there.

The way there schedule is they could.... The only team I think has a chance of beating them is the Giants... Now as for playoffs I dont see them making it that far but regular season they COULD just because of the strength of schedule....

The fist pump lives forever in dolphins history. Tony Sparano was such a joke we can never stop mocking him.

I created a bunch of these newest post tags and the fist pump was the first one I thought of. It's pathetic that FGs merited fist pumps but at this point IMO it's an iconic gesture and partial as I may be, should definitely stay intact.

jMAL305: SORRY. boss ross is the one who wanted philbin. irelands choice was the guy from the broncos.

    and he wouldnt budge!

so, ross did the right thing and pulled rank and got ireland out of his own way and hired philbin.

this was ANOTHER blunder by ireland.

Ross made a good call in getting Philbin, certainly not the sexy pick but he knows the game and will be able to put us in a position every week to win games
