There isn't much drama associated with the Miami Dolphins' starting lineup. Very few starting positions are open heading into the team's first exhibition game against the Atlanta Falcons. But there are a few brewing battles that need to be monitored. Each player's performance during the exhibition season will not only impact their standing, but it will also forge the makeup of the team's 53-man roster. The Sun-Sentinel provides a look at the Dolphins' top five brewing battles, examining what will determine starting roles, roster spots and playing time in 2011.

Free Safety: Reshad Jones and Chris Clemons

( Staff and wire photos ) Chris Clemons (right) and Reshad Jones are beginning act two of the Dolphins' fiercest camp battle. This pair of fifth round picks, who are separated by one year, have continued a competition that goes back to last camp. Clemons got the nod and started 14 games in 2010. He had a solid season, contributing 61 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one interceptions, but Jones was more impactful in his limited playing time, producing 21 tackles, one sack and one interceptions. However, the coaches are trying to get Jones to be more disciplined with his assignments. The player the coaches trust to serve as the last line of defense will likely earn the spot.
