I love this draft game, but we all do it attempting to get the best players and the best score, but how would we really handle it after dealing with Free Agency.

Play GM. Who would you resign, release and sign, then play the draft game :)

Post June 1st release Wheeler
release Matt Moore
try to resign Patterson to team friendly deal
Try to resign Wallace to more friendly deal

Free Agent:
OT, Ryan Harris
OG, Wade Smith
OLB, Rocky McIntosh

Free agency wouldn't cost much, bring a couple familiar players from Houston to help assist in fixing line.

Then my gangster draft below, with the trade up to 12 for a superstar WR.
A very good value at DE in 2nd, andother playmaker in the 3rd.
come back in-state and get a beast DT and MLB.
Gamble on some Olinemen, select Matt Moore's cheaper replacement with possibly more upside.
Then finish with some late round gems!
This would be a great talent infusion!

Round 1 Pick 12 (NYG): Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson (A)
Round 2 Pick 21 (G.B.): Stephon Tuitt, DE, Notre Dame (A-)
Round 3 Pick 17: Andre Williams, RB, Boston College (A-)
Round 3 Pick 24 (CINN): Dominique Easley, DT, Florida (A)
Round 4 Pick 17 (CHI): Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (A)
Round 4 Pick 23 (CINN): Cameron Fleming, OT, Stanford (D+)
Round 5 Pick 15: Brandon Thomas, OG, Clemson (A)
Round 6 Pick 14: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia (A-)
Round 7 Pick 14 (DAL): Vinnie Sunseri, SS, Alabama (A)
Round 7 Pick 19: James Stone, C, Tennessee (A)
Round 7 Pick 23 (DAL): De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (B)

How did you trade up and gain more picks?

it offers you mad trades every selection bro. I was amazed but I kept tradinng down for like the next pick or two behind me plus another round pick! I ended with a kings ransom, and if that draft ever happened i would **** my pants! LOL!

Andre Williams would be a horrible pick for us. Doesn't fit the scheme. You need a 1C running back for the ZBS.

A "1C" is a runner (he can be either powerful or fast) who starts to run in one direction, and when he sees a hole open up in the defense he cuts back to that opening and runs in a straight line. This goes against the instincts of most players.
Some RBs "juke", which means they fake side to side movements, and use agility to gain yards. Other players commit right away and dedicate themselves to a play or a direction.
That is Andre Williams. He commits and doesn't deviate, he's not elusive in the open field, he doesn't change direction very well either. He's a between the tackles runner. He also isn't a very good receiver out of the backfield and a poor pass blocker.

But 1Cs must have patience and vision. They must be able to run towards the direction of the play, have the vision to not commit until the see an opening, and the discipline to make "one cut" towards the hole and to stick with it. They must also have the confidence to pick a hole, since the coordinator doesn't pick it for him, but rather it is based off a read or series of reads.

Another key for a 1C is the ability to keep one's legs moving during a tackle. This is because most RBs like to spin or juke (or use other methods), but a 1C usually faces tackles in confined spaces where other methods don't work (confined because the second level is full of OLs, not just LBs). Here again, the 1C does what does not come naturally to most RBs.

That's the problem Miller has and he doesn't like to run in confined spaces either.

All due respect to all of the above posts, but what about OL? Holes everywhere..

All the fools that say we should release Wheeler, makes me laugh. He will count against our cap 6.5mil if we cut him and the same if we don't.

We will not be releasing Wheeler. I repeat......we will not be releasing Wheeler.

and why would Wallace restructure?? Please elaborate??

What are you talking about? I sign a tackle and center and draft a guard. With Pouncey moved to guard that 4 spots, surely one of our remaining guys can take the last tackle position; Clabo maybe.

Why not cut him if he cost the same to cut? He is a liability on defense. He can't tackle, takes poor angles and overruns plays every game.

Why do you call people fools? How do you know we won't release last years free agent mistake from previous GM with the new GM who is more in tune with the coaching staff? No need to be an asshole on a message board!
