Here's how it works...

Anyone can pick at any time... the only rule is if you pick, you cant pick again for three more picks... so if you pick 1st you cant go again till 4th... also every pick must be given an explanation... this should go quick enough where we will continue with a second round...

Here is the round 1 draft order

  1. Detroit Lions (0-16)
  2. St. Louis Rams (2-14)
  3. Kansas City Chiefs (2-14)
  4. Seattle Seahawks (4-12)
  5. Cleveland Browns (4-12)
  6. Cincinnati Bengals (4-11-1)
  7. Oakland Raiders (5-11)
  8. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11)
  9. Green Bay Packers (6-10)
  10. San Francisco 49ers (7-9)
  11. Buffalo Bills (7-9)
  12. Denver Broncos (8-8)
  13. Washington Redskins (8-8)
  14. New Orleans Saints (8-8)
  15. Houston Texans (8-8)
  16. San Diego Chargers (8-8)
  17. New York Jets (9-7)
  18. Chicago Bears (9-7)
  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7)
  20. Detroit Lions - from Dallas Cowboys (9-7)
  21. Philadelphia Eagles (9-6-1)
  22. Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
  23. New England Patriots (11-5)
  24. Atlanta Falcons (11-5)
  25. Miami Dolphins (11-5)
  26. Baltimore Ravens (11-5)
  27. Indianapolis Colts (12-4)
  28. Philadelphia Eagles - from Carolina Panthers (12-4)
  29. New York Giants (12-4)
  30. Tennessee Titans (13-3)
  31. Arizona Cardinals (9-7)
  32. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)

OK :)

With the 1st pick in the 2009 NFL draft the Detroit Lions select...

Mathew Stafford QB Georgia

I was a **** hair away from going with a safer pick like Jason Smith, but the big D needs a face of the franchise to sell tickets and turn this ship around... hopefully there's not to big of a run on tackles like last year and they can pick up a solid one at pick 20...

St. Louis Rams are on the clock!

Seattle- Eugene Monroe

Walter Jones is getting old and injury prone. With Housh now there this is probably a safe pick.

The Cleveland Browns Select Brian Orakpo DE Texas

With only 17 sacks last year they need a major upgrade on the defensive line... I considered Crabtree, as every team should as long as he keeps falling... but I think Orakpo is the pick here...

Cincinatti Bengals select Michael Crabtree....

with the loss of T.J...... Crabtree is an easy choice keeping some good weapons for Carson

With the 11th pick the Buffalo Bills select Everette Brown DE Florida State

The bills need a major upgrade at pass rush... E. Brown is the easy choice....

With the 12th pick the Denver Broncos selecet:

Mark Sanchez QB

Jay Cutler has cut his ties so they start fresh and ready for this arm to lead their franchise.
