    Here's how it works...

Anyone can pick at any time... the only rule is if you pick, you cant pick again for three more picks... so if you pick 1st you cant go again till 4th... also every pick must be given an explanation... this should go quick enough where we will continue with a second round...

Here is the round 1 draft order

    1. Detroit Lions (0-16)
    2. St. Louis Rams (2-14)
    3. Kansas City Chiefs (2-14)
    4. Seattle Seahawks (4-12)
    5. Cleveland Browns (4-12)
    6. Cincinnati Bengals (4-11-1)
    7. Oakland Raiders (5-11)
    8. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11)
    9. Green Bay Packers (6-10)
    10. San Francisco 49ers (7-9)
    11. Buffalo Bills (7-9)
    12. Denver Broncos (8-8)
    13. Washington Redskins (8-8)
    14. New Orleans Saints (8-8)
    15. Houston Texans (8-8)
    16. San Diego Chargers (8-8)
    17. New York Jets (9-7)
    18. Chicago Bears (9-7)
    19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7)
    20. Detroit Lions - from Dallas Cowboys (9-7)
    21. Philadelphia Eagles (9-6-1)
    22. Minnesota Vikings (10-6)
    23. New England Patriots (11-5)
    24. Atlanta Falcons (11-5)
    25. Miami Dolphins (11-5)
    26. Baltimore Ravens (11-5)
    27. Indianapolis Colts (12-4)
    28. Philadelphia Eagles - from Carolina Panthers (12-4)
    29. New York Giants (12-4)
    30. Tennessee Titans (13-3)
    31. Arizona Cardinals (9-7)
    32. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)

I love this game. As the starter, I feel it's only fair you get the first pick.

    OK :)

With the 1st pick in the 2009 NFL draft the Detroit Lions select...

    Mathew Stafford QB Georgia

I was a **** hair away from going with a safer pick like Jason Smith, but the big D needs a face of the franchise to sell tickets and turn this ship around... hopefully there's not to big of a run on tackles like last year and they can pick up a solid one at pick 20...

St. Louis Rams are on the clock!

    Seattle- Eugene Monroe

Walter Jones is getting old and injury prone. With Housh now there this is probably a safe pick.

The Cleveland Browns Select Brian Orakpo DE Texas

With only 17 sacks last year they need a major upgrade on the defensive line... I considered Crabtree, as every team should as long as he keeps falling... but I think Orakpo is the pick here...

With the 14th pick, the New Orlean Saints take - Malcom Jenkins CB, Ohio State.

With the Jabari Greer signing and Tracy Porter, this gives New Orleans one of the top secondaries in the NFL. You can never have too many CB. Plus they can always move him to safety. Their secondary is New Orleans biggest weakness.

15th: The Houston Texans select Vontae Davis, CB Illinois

Dunta Robinson isn't exactly the portrait of health and they don't have a lot of depth at the position.

With the 16th pick of the 2009 NFL draft the San Diego Chargers select....

Rey Maualaga - SD have history with USC linebackers of Polynesian descent and the omens are too good to pass here. Rey Rey is the kind of playmaking, seek and destroy ILB every team needs, would love him to fall to the fins :boohoo:

With the 18th pick, the Chicago Bears take, Derius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland. Come on, Chicago's top reciever is Devin Hester. Hes a good kick returner, but lacks recieving skills. Heyward-Bey is the tall, fast reciever they have been missing for years.

haha i just typed up that bey pick too but accidentally x'd out before posting

    anyway...

    the bucs take percy harvin

the infatuation with freeman is a smokescreen. with galloway gone they need a deep threat and all around play maker in harvin. bryant and clayton should start, but no doubt harvin will be on the field plenty, and un seat clayton by midseason.

With the 22nd pick, the Vikes select

    DJ Moore, CB.

The vikes need a playmaker in the secondary, and Moore will compliment there starters & easily slid into a nickle package at first.

Actually, he ran a 4.85. He also was a monster at the Senior Bowl. Ireland/Tuna put more stock in how they play than how they test. English is a player...

Corner and Wide Reciever are SOOOOO much more important than a OLB imo. Darius Butler WILL be a shutdown corner and WILL be gone round 2. Hakeem Nicks is the next Anquan Boldin. Remember the last time we passed on Anquan Bolden (yeah when Wanstedte picked EDDIE MOORE instead of anquan bolden!!!) yeah, that time. sounds a liittle like...umm Larry English. COME ON! cause you know how well Eddie Moore turned out....

I think a pass rusher is more important than cb or wr but Barwin is a better athlete and had 11 sacks last year.

From Senior Bowl reported by Draft Countdown...
" • Oklahoma OT Phil Loadholt had a good day. Loadholt was very physical and absolutely mauled defenders once he got his hands on them, which was to be expected from a guy who weighed in at 6-8 and 343 pounds. However, he also displayed good feet and showed the ability to handle speed rushers. Today at least.

    • One of the players Loadholt toyed with was Connecticut DE Cody Brown, who did not have a good day. In addition to getting absolutely mauled by Loadholt in drills Brown also received quite a bit of instruction from the coache"
