Eli -- 2-0 in Super Bowl wins against Brady.

Peyton -- 3-1 in AFC Championship games.

I'm beginning to like the Manning family a little more than before. :chuckle:

No doubt, saved perfectville from being inhabited by the cheaters. Thorn in his side. Without them maybe 9 rings. Crazy

The Giants and Broncos defenses have denied Brady. Only one time has offense been a major reason and that was the 2006 title game where Manning had a great 2nd half(after putting his team in a huge hole w/ an awful 1st half).

Junc, I know you don't think much of Peyton and think Tom is one of the greatest. But you can't have it both ways. Brady's 4 championships have come with 1st, 2nd, 6th and 8th ranked scoring defense. His championships runs have featured a defense that only allows 18 points per game. So how you can hold him in such high esteem and then discount the similar work of others when they accomplish the same? The other 2 wins that Peyton had included games scoring 26 and 20 points (both better than most do against the Pats) and 2 TD passes and 0 Interceptions in either game. You have to give Peyton some credit for those wins. And brother Eli won both of those games on offense. Yes the G-Men D held down Brady but Eli came through with the game winning drive on offense. Just because they didn't score 30 points doesn't mean the offense wasn't a big part of the win. Rarely do the Patriots give up a lot of points in the playoffs.

rankings are nice but the 1st 2 SBs the NE Ds became the first Ds EVER to blow double digit 4th qtr leads in the SB and Brady and the O rescued them. Let's look at each game realistically:

Eli had a ball stick to a helmet in one, the Giant D held down 2 of the greatest O's in league history. people see the rankings of NYG '07/'11 and think the D wasn't great. in postseason it was GREAT and led them to both SBs and Eli did not deserve either SB MVP

Peyton gets credit for the 2006 title game, he had a great 2nd half and outdueled Brady. of course he did it w/ a pair of future HOF WRs while Brady had Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney as his main weapons.

the 2 in denver the Den D won both games. last week peyton and the O were trying to give away the game, the D just wouldn't let it happen.

Can't spell elite without Eli.

Still a better QB than either Miami or the Jets have had in recent memory. Spin it all you like but it's the truth.

ok, what does that have to do w/ being elite? the truth is he is a solid starting QB in this league who had 2 good postseasons where his D led the way for the titles. I'd take him over my QB(though my QB was much better this season) and you'd take him over yours but there are a million guys we'd take over our current QBs.
