Simple yes or no question. I, for one, am sick of it. Ronnie Brown is a better back right now in my eyes. The weight that Ricky lost makes a big difference in his game. The toughness isn't there like it used to be, and I am tired of watching the two split carries. Brown should get the majority, and Ricky should assume the backup roll. How do you guys feel?

I've thought Ronnie was the better back for over a month now. He needs to be getting more of the carries. But I understand why Ricky is getting as many as he is (hoping he'll shine so we can trade him).

I expect Ronnie to be on the field next drive. Hopefully by himself.

I think Ronnie is the better back and I hate that they share opportunities and Ricky takes them away, but I voted for the split to continue. Just for the end of the season to ease the load on Ronnie just a bit.

I agree. I really like Ronnie and want him to get 25+ carries a game. :rofl3: > Travis Minor option.

were not in contention... why not split carries? every game they split carries just prolongs ronnies life in the NFL... I think it would be foolish to run ronnie full steam when we have the luxury of playing ricky a little.

I like how it has worked out so far. Sharing carries for Ronnie early in his career is a blessing. Further when you can reduce Ronnie's carries with such a talented HB as Wicky who can complain?!

I like them sharing carries but think Ronnie should get a few more touches. That means either giving Ricky a few less or just running the ball a few more times a game

why trade him? we will never get a player equal to ricky. keep him here.

    ricky > draft pick.

Ronnie is a better back than Ricky Number one Ronnie is a bigger back and number 2 Ronnie has all the toold to make him a good back in the NFL but I still say lets split carries. If we do then defensice coordinators are going to go nuts.

    I like the split.

    1) It allows us to run the ball 30-40 times/game, without worrying about wearing down a RB (remember Cadillac Williams at the beginning of the year).

    2) It allows our RBs to be fresh throughout the game, and punish a tired defense.

    3) If one RB goes down with injury, the other RB can just pick up the slack without missing a beat.

Ronnie better get a handle on those fumbles or he will not continue to go forward in his development until he does.

The second option "Yes, Ronnie should get the majority of the carries " is a bit specious, Ronnie already gets the majority of the carries.

You'd have to be a fool not to want this two in the backfield together.

    Probably Bills fans. :rofl3:

Minor moves the piles much better than both Ricky and Ronnie and has much better vision than both too. I think its clear who the right choice is...

Whats the point of giving it to Ronnie 25-30 times a game? So he can wear out like Earl Campbell? Or like Ricky from carrying it so much in 2002-03? Leave it like it is. When Miami gets a QB, and some help in the secondary, this team will be scary. Plus you never know if one of them will get hurt. Nice to have 2 stud RB's on the team.

Yup,I don't get trying to get rid of one of the best backs in the league. We have RB's and it's a great feeling especially when Chambers drops balls that are right in his hands! :)

Danny you really think Wicky has any kind of REAL trade value? You don't think his possible 1-year suspension hurts his trade value? Nevermind his insanity the last year.

I mean if players like the Edge and Alexander can't garner 2nd round round picks why would a HB like Wicky get anything even close to that?

I want Ronnie to be spared by sharing the load. There's no need for him to be run into the ground this year. By the end of 16 games, Ronnie will have had more than enough carries to have a "feel" for the NFL game.

Ricky is improving his trade value, however I'd like to see us keep him. The guy can still run and in the 4th quarter he's still dominant. I'd say he can get at least a 3rd rounder if not a 2nd, if his play continues like it is.

I agree with most of this , but would not be worried too much if RB had to do all the carries, as he is a big strong boy. the rest of the thread is true to the point.

It's a win win situation for us with Ronnie and Ricky splitting carries. What good does it do to not give Ronnie a breather? It's not like we're subbing him with minor! Ricky was a top 3 back in this league at one point, he's still got some of that left in him. It would be foolish not to keep splitting carries. In my opinion they should both get 25 carries a game. Becuase they are BOTH franchise backs. Rookies no matter how talented are not mature enough to carry the team in do or die situations, I think its there mental maturity. When the game is on the line we need a veteran not a rookie to get the job done. and when Ricky is done with us in a year or 2 Ronnie will be mature enough to make plays in crunch time.
