Just released, started the '13 season as the started, but battled turf toe all year, worth a look?

Worth a look...explosive north south but doesn't provide the size or power element this unit needs...wonder if that turf toe is still an issue for him to be released already though

Looked like a pro when we played the rams a couple years ago...

Isaiah Pead is going to be cut too. They shopped him around at the draft

Their run game was god awful last year when he was manning the backfield. Perhaps it was more the o line than him but I don't think he's worth the shake.

I'd go after pead over him. There both soft though. But pead in our system could be really dangerous.

Fisher tried getting cute over the last few years on offense, these small guys like pead, Richardson, tavon, that's not fishers style. He coaches physical violent football and went back to his roots, he doesn't know how to use those guys. He's gone back to his roots now.

If pead can toughen up and wants to really play football, he be a huge steal for us, and hopefully Fisher already did the dirty work and woke him up for us. Pead is really good, I just don't think he was ready for the NFL when fisher got him.

    Ugh.... I hate this guy.

Labeled big sleeper in fantasy football last season and did nothing.

Zach Stacey went beast mode when he got the chance.

It never ceases to amaze me. I wish they would start a running thread so that a new one isn't created for every garbage player that becomes available.

Or people could just refrain from opening threads they're not interested in.

How does that work? You see thred topics, which are mostly slef-explanatory but, then go to the OP to make sure. When you are sure you have no interest, don't you just post anyhow to say that you have nothing to say or, should it be different?

Meh, I'm more concerned about Johnson returning to form than Richardson challenging for the 3rd RB spot.

These severe turf toe injuries never really heal, unfortunately, especially among athletes or dancers. Some of them end up limping the rest of their lives. It's a very nasty thing where a series of ligaments that maintain the stability of the toe are sprained. I don't think people have a proper appreciation for how serious an injury it can be given the name of the injury just makes it sound like athlete's foot gone awry. First off ligaments don't heal all that well anyway. They don't get active bloodflow the way tendons or muscles do so they take a lot longer to heal. And to make matters worse your feet don't heal very well because they're so far away from the heart. It's a particularly common injury in offensive linemen, as I recall, since they carry such weight and put so much stress on the toes. But all of the players at explosive positions are at risk.

Yeah, you should go get it checked out. There are ways to wrap it that can help alleviate that pain.

Exactly. It's one thing if you hurt it and you aren't doing things in the near term -- or for your career or life -- that aggravate it. But dancers and athletes put so much stress on their toes it's one of those things that's always going to be a problem. Anyone who's ever severely sprained their ankle will know what I'm talking about. There's a difference between being "healed" and being like you were before.

it's more about depth, Goodson is going to be released and this gives us 4 solid RBs. I don't expect Johnson be the CJ of a few years ago but I expect he will be a major contributor and playmaker for an offense that was badly in need of them.
