Hey, I know everyone is bummed about losing Jay Ajayi, but I just realized that there is a PERFECT replacement out there for him that we can grab... from the CFL.

    That's right, it's Trent Richardson!

Jay Ajayi is averaging 3.4 yards per carry this season, and Trent Richardson's career average is 3.3 yards per carry. Folks, that's just a tenth of a yard difference in average production, and Richardson's in the best shape of his life after tearing up the CFL.

    Make the call, Mike.

    Glad someone started this thread

But erm.. are you feeling ok @J. David Wannyheimer ? Worried about you bud :p Trent Richardson was not the name I was expecting to see!

Can you even sign CFL players midseason?

Trent Richardson is the PERFECT back for this football team. What we need is a guy who can pick up three yards to shorten the sticks and help our anemic pass offense convert some third downs. That's right, Trent Richardson is our man.

You know his motto? "You need one yard, I'll get you three. You need ten yards, I'll get you three."

Trent Richardson. It's going to be the greatest story of CFL redemption since Cameron Wake.

I'm clearly joking, but I'm also serious.

I'd sign him. He actually is tearing it up in the CFL right now and looks completely rejuvenated. What's the worst that can happen? He averages 3.3 yards per carry? Like I said, we'd replace Ajayi's production and have a 4th round pick in the bank on top of it.

I mean when you are the worst offense in the league, you might as well try something. We can't roll with just Williams and Drake.

    Ajayi is inconsistent AF

Last year when most would say he blew up look at his yardage totals game for game

The fact that this thread is on this board is mind blowing. If you told me someone would joke about this mid season but people actually kind of consider it because we traded Ajayi I would have laughed so hard.

I thought this team was trending up during the cardinals game but everything has been downhill since.

I'd give Hyde from the 9ers a good look. They are 0-8, need draft picks to build around Gappo (whatever). Send the 4th we just got or a 5th.
In addition to that I trade Landry and pick up TY. In less than 8 hours we just got better and tossed out locker room cancers.

there's an overrating of ypc and yards per game and an underrating of box defense looks at play here

Where is this Landry is a cancer bull crap coming from? Landry seemed pretty damn proud to be a Dolphin after the Jets game.

You yourself re-watched the game and pointed out the many plays in which Ajayi did not follow the blocking, and instead tried to bounce outside and got slammed.

I'm not thrilled with losing Ajayi, not at all, but I think even you would agree that the coach's frustration was validated by the evidence we have available to us?

Sideline antics. Yelling at team mates. Lack of understanding the playbook. Plenty of issues. What you see on the field is different from what happens off the field.

These bums need to be yelled at by somebody. Gase's playbook seems pretty ****ty this year, so I'm not sure anyone understands it.

Hopefully Drake is the primary RB and Williams is the backup. I hate losing Ajayi, but I think this could actually make the Fins O a little more diverse and less predictable.

I think in that game yes...but id say for all the 10 man boxes he saw and he saw them out the nose the first 6 games that for my money ajayi carried the top grade on o...but I will say that I wasn't at the time paying attention as much to what gap he chose etc and more the end result as in how much contact and how many yards directly the result of running thru it...

which again is a function of crap qb play not able to make teams pay for those 10 man front looks...

anyways im just saying yards are not a good parameter for the player considering how many stacked boxes he faced...

You might have missed it but Gase clearly said that he had to dumb down the playbook because some players don't get it. And guess what: Landry seems to be one of them.
A pre-season playbook before the TN game? Seems like he is lacking basics.

I'd go try to get something from that loaded jax rb stable as a one year rental

no way Kenyan drake is gonna be able to handle 15 carries per game...and I see zero chance he runs the ball up inside consistently and takes "what we can get"

Curious, are you saying the Ravens played less 10 man fronts vs weak armed Matt Moore than other teams do with Cutler?

no we are seeing nothing but 10 man boxes cause there's no qb threat regardless...ajayi was the only threat opposing dcs saw...
