Maybe our best bet for a QB next year is to bring in not one but a few QB with potential who have gone sour on other teams, for some reason. Bring in Blake, Carr, and someone else perhaps, and let them duke it out. Guranteed one of them is still a diamond in the rough--look at Steve Young, Jim Plunkett, etc...

Hell isn't that what we have been doing since Marino left? Bringing in crap/****ty QB's looking for the Diamond in the ruff. **** that. Drop some cash and lets get someone with talent in here.

We've brought piece of crap QBs, like 5th round picks and undrafted guys. The only one out of the guys we had that was worth a damn was Griese.

I'd be interested in a QB competition between Harrington, Boller, and Kitna. These guys actually have great talent, they've just had their confidence shake or their job lost to one of the NFL's best QBs.

And you think all three of those guys will just sign with the Fins ? And what play for minimum wage ??? Dude get a clue, they are veterans, will be paid as veterans, so getting one to compete against Gus will be the best we do. Drafting the next franchise QB is what we have to do for the long haul.

Incentive-laden contracts. You want to find a guy that is willing to make short-term sacrifices to get the chance to start somewhere. The payoff will be down the road. Otherwise, DON'T SIGN HIM!

There's very few places where one of the free agents that come in can be guaranteed a starting role.
