Just saw Jets' after game interviews and Rex was so pissed he almost cried in front of national media.

It's great to have a classy guy like Philbin leading our Dolphins.

As a leader it's your responsibility to handle losses and wins.

Sometimes, being an ***, is not the best way to go.

The beating on Rex is getting a tad old imho. He has got his warts. Dude is still one of the best DC's in the game imo.
    **** the Jets though.

I think he was disgusted with how his players acted at the end of the game. Top that off with a game they should've won against a team he hates. Im not a fan of Rex....but I get why he acted that way.

How can he be disgusted? What moral right does he have to be disgusted?
They are kids brought up in his own image.

They are doing what he SHOWED them to do.
    He ENCOURAGED the behavior.

How can he be mad now?

I don't blame Rex for being upset. He is trying to save his job and Mark Sanchez, as bad as he is, was the best QB on the roster. Now he's stuck with Geno Smith, who is the worst starting QB in the NFL outside of maybe Blaine Gabbert. And Geno's #1 receiving option of Clyde Gates.

Rex is going to get fired and he has to see the writing on the wall. Don't blame him for being emotional right now.

Damn looks like they lost Muhammad Wilerson on that last drive too.
Yup a lot of emotional things there at the end.

I don't mind ragging on people when they are talking **** or bragging.
Not a fan of kicking people who are already down though.

Anyways, **** the Jets, **** the Pats too, we are taking the division this year baby,

If you are a good person, you don't kick people like Rex Ryan when they are down.

If you are like me, you kick them. He wouldn't show you mercy, why would you?
Ryan crests high, and he's insufferable for a few years. I have no issue helping his demise

And I hope he goes to hell.

There's something to be said for "quarter:

Men that have fought each other can sometimes agree on things
because they are great men, or they have fought well.

Rex Ryan is a ****ing idiot, and I'd drive defeat home in any way that
    I could.

Of course he's pissed. The Jets had an opportunity to win against a not-so good Pats offense and they **** the bed. Dropped passes, poor route running, horrible 4th quarter QB play, Wilkerson hurt. He's screwed himself and that team and it may be starting to sink in.

They had a great defensive game plan and that game was there to be had. New England had 9 first downs and Brady had fewer than 5 yards per attempt. I would expect a defensive minded coach to be furious at losing a divisional game under those specifics.

I'd cry too if my two QBs were Sanchez and Geno. Geno Smith looked ****ing atrocious last night.

Good news is I'm positive our defense is better than the JESTS. No reason we can't beat the Pats, at the very least once this year.

What a great day to be a Dolphins fan.

We'll see. The more important piece concerning which team will be better in the years to come is the QB. It is way too early to determine if either of them will become franchise guys, but I have more doubts about Geno.

That's from an AT&T commercial. It's not complicated. :chuckle:

Though how many blatant drops and missed connections did the Pats WRs have? At least 4-5 times Dobson or Thompkins got behind the Jets defense and either dropped the ball, or Brady just missed them. This is why you can't play "what if" games.

Don't get me wrong, the Jets defense (particularly the front seven) is stout. Even if the Pats WRs catch those balls, I doubt the Pats score more than 24 total. But the Jets defense had a lot of help that game.

Love how junc tries to offset losing to a team with none of their non-QB primary offensive weapons available aside from their #2 or #3 WR with the assertion that the jest went into the game without their "starting" QB (which the following shows wasn't quite accurate)

..but would never fault their over-his-head glorified DC for needlessly getting him injured (Meatball Jake Long moron-level).

Sorry Charlie, but when Rex himself refutes Sanchez's claims that he won the starting job, gotta go with straight from the horse's [strike]***[/strike] mouth on this one.

rex didn't refute anything, if he said "Geno won" then you might have something. No announcement was made but anyone paying attention knows who won b/c it was never really a competition.

As with Westhoff declaring that Sanchez was just a passenger, never a driver on the post season busses, the above could not be any more succinct, clearer or subject to interpretation... unless someone allows their subjective partisanship stand in the way of the cold light of reality.

It's coachspeak under Idzik, this is a team that hasn't declared geno the starter saying competition is still ongoing. At some point you have to use common sense.

Westhoff didn't say anything bad about Mark.

Of course he didn't. It's coach-speak for "he was the weakest link on our team" . He was being as diplomatic as possible rather than throwing hapless dead QBs walking under the bus. See how that works?

4 playoff wins in 4 seasons as a starter which is more than your franchise from 1995-2012 and counting.
