Leaving MIA training camp after visiting with team. Morning practice tempo was incredible...fast & furious. Plenty of reps for the rookies.

Very impressed with Philbin and his staff. Extremely organized and detailed on the practice field and in the meetings. They'll get it going

I'm ready to start caving sh$$t in!!

OMG, to have finally have great coach and coaching staff. Reports say we may have a Good QB up and comming also.

Everyone into the bunkers; Batten down the hatches. Something terrible is coming... We've had it too good for too long...

We must stay patient with this new staff...myself included.

I'm very impressed with the coaches so far. Two boxes that still need to be ticked from my POV in preseason are QB coaching and WR coaching. No lead QB coach and our WR coach hasn't ever coached them as a specialism. Ordinarily, I'd totally defer to Philbin as he seems a guy of excellent judgement. But we need big improvements from QB and WR, so it's fair to wonder aloud if the right coaching pieces are in place there. Time will tell.

The big box that needs ticking for the regular season is playcalling. Philbin doesn't do it and its not sensationalistic to say Sherman has drawn a fair bit of criticism for his, while at TAMU. So, it's an open point till we get into games.

So far, so excellent though, it must be said.

I'm pretty sure Sherman is QB coach as well as OC.

I thought Gannon had "lost respect for Philbin" because they signed Chad Johnson. From what I recall, he and his buddy Schein blasted the Dolphins on their radio show. You mean Gannon changed his opinion once he actually visited the team and saw what was going on?

Given the workload of an OC, that's more or less the same as saying there isn't one! If he is, we should bear in mind this is the coach who sat Tannehill behind other less capable QBs and who ultimately got production out of him in college, but maybe not to the degree his potential suggests.

I don't say this to slam Sherman, by any means. But the fairly unique circumstances and the importance of Tannehill's development suggest that an external specialist QB coach with no former ties would be a wise investment. I believe Tannehill has demonstrated he can thrive on a pretty steep learning curve, so I'd be in favour of a QB coaching structure that promotes that. If that proves not to be needed, nobody will be happier than me. But, from my unprofessional viewpoint, it's a box that needs ticking before we can anoint the coaching ticket as "elite" or whatever.

I believe at this point it's pretty well established that "Shine" is a homeristic, uninformed troglodyte moron. Now that he's established and confirmed many times over an embarrassing level of cluelessness and bias, really, should anyone around here give a flying **** what that funny-looking green flag-waving douchebag thinks or says?

Nice summary.....

Wow, tell us how you really feel about Shein, don't hold back! :chuckle:
