never knew this apparently peterson was his GM. although he only owned them from 85-86, they went from the top team to a mediocre team after he became owner. jim mora was his head coach

i wont be surprised to see peterson employed by the fins real soon.

it seems ross was partial to trump, who single handedly destroyed the league. the usfl owners despised trump but apparently ross sided w/ trump.

they went from top to mediocre? THe league folded after he bought the team.

Seriously, do people read? They won the title in 85, Then the league never had another season.

Mr. Ross bought the Baltimore Stars, a United States Football League team, in 1986 -- only to see the league fold before his team played a game with him in charge. Once again he's entering the fraternity with a league facing some crucial business decisions, though certainly the NFL is on much firmer ground.

im always interested in the usfl. they were so close to making it.
from everything that ive read he owned them in 1985. maybe he didnt have a say in operations.

its funny some of the stars from the usfl are still getting paid from those big contacts they were handing out. steve young is one. i wonder if the owners like ross are the ones paying them?

what I read is he was brought in because the owner was losing a bunch of money so Ross took over after the 85 season
