according to Barry Jackson, it appears Miami is willing to let Bush test the market... if he left who would you like at Runningback?

The only certainty based on Ireland's previous performances is that if Bush goes elsewhere, there will be absolutely no plan to invest in a replacement for him. This team unfortunately enjoys creating obvious holes while they fill others.

If Reggie walks I would be looking at Lacey RB out of Bama. He would compliment Miller as the bruiser.

    D. Thomas is basically pushed down to emergency RB and we still have Thigpen and Gray.

Promote Miller to start. DT as the number 2 RB will spell him....

Once DT gets hurt in week 3, Jonas Gray steps into the number 2 spot. Week 4, Miller and Gray rush for 270 and never look back as the Dolphins roll into the playoffs.

I think Lamar Miller might be too stupid to be an every down back in the NFL. That was his problem at UM, dumb as a rock and always missed blocking assignments and such.

You're thinking about J. Lane. Gray is from Notre Dame and could be something good 'they say' but you know how that goes.

If Bush walks I say we run with what we got and let them all get baptisted this year. That's also if Gray is ready to make the squad, if not we need to draft a guy late for sure. I

t would really suck to lose Bush but we need to put our money in other positions in a big way. Maybe if something falls to us in the draft or free agency we get someone else. But we have higher priorities than our RB position.

Depending on our FA moves I wouldn't mind spending a late second on Lacey.

Isn't KC going to let Hillis walk? I think a Miller/Hillis combo would be fun to see. I don't know if D Thomas will ever be the bruiser back we hoped he'd be.

I say hell no to Reshard Mendenhall and Felix Jones

Gray was a beast at ND and would of been 3rd round pick except he blew out his knee senior year much like Marcus Lattimore who was projected as a late first early second round RB but the knee injury will likely drop him.

We need a banger and DT and Bush are not those guys maybe Miller. If Miller is not you almost have to let Bush walk even though he is a play maker. This is a tough decision between keeping 3 backs with the same style or loose your playmaker to create a spot for a between the tackles back.

RBs are a dime a dozen.

Anybody could replace Bush on an every down basis.

Thomas isn't getting cut. He under contract for the next 2 years with reasonable salary. ( 2013: $669,217, 2014: $816,321, 2015: Free Agent)

He has scored 5 red zone TD's over the last 2 years. He is one of our only red zone threats.

Usually when they let them "test the market", its to get an idea on how much a player is worth, and not to actually sign with another team. Ask Ahmad Bradshaw and Ryan Clark how that works. My guess is that Reggie Bush is back. Its the other RB's on our roster that need replacing though.
