We currently have 73 players under contract when we start cutting players will we be on the hook for their contracts this year or will that free up more cap space?

As for your question.....I'd say it depends on the player. In all reality, the players most likely to be cut won't affect our cap per se.

only the top 51 players salaries count against the cap in the offseason, so cutting the camp fodder to get down to the 53 man roster will not save us anything. Cutting a higher salaried player could save some money depending on his salary structure in base/bonuses.
