Out of the final three, he would be my choice.

    Just Great.

I bet he is gonna tell them that he can turn Moore into a franchise QB (LOL).

Season tickets barely hit 40k last year...

How far will they drop this year?

He gets my vote too Nubs. I think between all three coaches he has the biggest ceiling in terms of overall success.

I don't want McCoy at all. His offensive playcalling stinks and even stunk before Tebow was the QB. Ross and Ireland are morons for even thinking about hiring him. I doubt he can bring in a quality staff.

    That's what I was saying...

He was 1-4 with Orton...He playcalling is run run pass and its atriocious even with Orton...

Actually, McCoy got ahold of his agent and said, "the freakin Raiders? Are you kidding me? Cancel that sh*t right away. I'm not going to coach that dead end of a job. Have you seen the owners haircut? He looks like Harry from Dumb and Dumber."

the good thing with him is that he could be a long time investment, as philbin will probably last another 5 to 7 years, that if they both prove they could be a good coach

Dolphins better pray ross picks philbin and stays away from this mccoy guy. For some reason this guy reminds me of chad henne with his huge ego. I dont like him at all, i dont even know why he is even qualified for an interview, philbin atleast has learned aton from the green bay organization, a winning organization and mccarthy, i pick philbin all day over this guy.

At least mccoy called plays. Philbin seems like he's getting credit just by association

"Chad Henne with a huge ego"? WTF? You know we are not looking for McCoy to play QB?

Fans will love him in about a week's time.

After hearing McCoy in a presser, fans will love him because he can teach the game from the podium...especially, after four years of Tony's mumbling.

That's mostly because of John Fox, though. That is his philosophy. The two years before that when McCoy was the OC in Denver, the team was a lot more balanced and Orton often threw on first down.

I have concerns about McCoy but that he will bring Foxball to Miami is not one of them. I don't think there's any way Steve Ross would stand for that after he basically forced Sparano to open up the offense.

no ****, thats not the point. Point is, chad henne sucks badly and yet still has a huge ego much like this mccoy guy will probably be, the denver offense was the most conservatist when tebow came in all the day until the point where john elway stepped in and told the hole offense to "pull the trigger" in that playoffs game. Again, we better stear clear of mccoy.

Ugh!!! I sure hope this "source" thing stops. If he truly is that cocky to cancel just because he's that confident about his status here. I'm liking him less and less each day. Sorry, I watched his play calling suck in Denver all season until the end of the 4th quarter when teams start playing for the run only. I seriously see us sucking with him in charge. Philbin is a huge gamble himself, but at least there's a chance with him panning out, as he has the respect of the coaches and players up there and most places around the league. Zimmer got axed from contention for being too brutally honest, but they are sucking up to someone who has an over inflated ego instead ???? God I hope they are making this stuff up!!!

Much of that offense falls on John Fox because that is his style that he put his stamp on.

I don't really have a clue as to who is better of the 3 but I have a short leash on whoever gets the job. I do not want to hear excuses about needing to learn on the job. I want to win now. A good coach can do that look at what Harbaugh has done in a strike shorted year.

Ya, but that was when Josh McDaniels was the coach and calling the plays. That wasn't McCoy calling the plays two years ago.

Elway told Tebow to pull the trigger not "the whole offense"...that's just flat making stuff up to try to prove a weak point. That's John Fox's idea to go all running offense which he forced mccoy to run after they got throttled by detroit.

Plenty of people want this job, Im sure if we interviewed Pete Carmichael he would want the job. So we should hire a lesser canidate because he wants the job

I like McCoy the most out of the three left, with Philbin being second, and leaving the position vacant as my third choice.

That being said, I find it hard to believe McCoy turned down the Raiders interview for the sole purpose that he expects to get this job. Thats just stupid. Nobody turns down an interview because they expect they will get another, unless they are absolutely certain of it. Either there is already an agreement behind the scenes between these two (although I don't know what the point of that would be) or he had some concerns about the Raiders organization

Here's what I hate about all this......there're tons of people on this board that always want to be right.......they don't even care if our team lose just as long as they can come back here and say "I told you I was right"......they do it with just about every player and every coach too. Whichever coach we pick there's going to be a million threads about how bad the move is and how the new coach will suck. That part is ok with me. It is a board and everyone has a right to type what they want. But there're people on this board that will HOPE that the new coach will fail just so they can say they were right.I for one will root for whoever we pick as I am a dolphins fan and will give the guy a chance.

    Ozzy rules!!

True, but his point is that everyone interviewing for the position is interested otherwise they wouldn't come here. Let's get the best person for the job, not just the one that says they want it the most. Sorry, but if the story is true that he turned down the interview because he believes he's the top candidate here in Miami screams cocky. The only way it's not is if Ross/Ireland told him that he was. Then that just means our FO is completely off the deep end. Either way, it would it's concerning.
