have only watched the first half and bits of the second, but these players stood out to me and I think would be of good value in the middle rounds:

Mike White - QB Western Kentucky (seemed very poised and was on the money throw after throw, has everything you look for in a developmental guy)

Kalen Ballage - RB Arizona State (would have liked to see more receiving work but blown away by his rushing ability. Very instinctual)

Rashaad Penny - RB San Diego State (needs no explanation if you're familiar w/ him, true rushing talent)

Will Hernandez - OG UTEP (not completely sold on his fit in our system, but after watching I agree w/ all the hype as an overall guard prospect)

Wyatt Teller - OG Virgina Tech (had never watched him play, liked what I saw in the senior bowl. Not sure what his draft status is but I see mid-late round value)

Jeremy Reaves - S/CB South Alabama (special teamer in my eyes w/ the ability to find a role in sub packages. Deon Lacey comparison)

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo - DE Oklahoma (comes off as a Charles Harris clone. I liked Harris as a prospect, wasn't interested in spending #22 on him though. I think Okoronkwo can be had after the first and I think there's value in the third if he's there)

Also liked Jaylen Samuels, noticed there's a thread on him already

Again, I'm not spending a first on any of these guys (not my early second either). Just liked what I saw on the field, I haven't done much homework at all on this draft class besides what I believe is in play at 11 so further insight is welcomed.

IMO Mike White is gonna be overdrafted. Too much stock into the senior bowl

If given the choice I would take Isaiah Wynn and Harrison Phillips. Phillips would push for a starting role right away at DT and give us some insurance when the other Phillips is a FA after this season. (Don't like paying for questionable motor guys who finally develop in the 4th year). Could be a good group in the future with Godchaux as he develops.

Wynn at LG leaving competition at RG between Larsen, Asiata and Eric Smith. Davis at RT.

DT Andrew Brown of Virginia played in the game and *really* stood out.

I had actually forgotten that I took a look at him once upon a time, and had liked him.

He was given a very high grade by PFF for the work he did in team drills, as he had 5 "stops", more than any player other than Darius Leonard.

What's your opinion on what we need at DE? If you're drafting only one DE are you grabbing a pass rusher (Okoronkwo) or would you rather grab a base type (Tyquan Lewis)?

The Oklahoma edge doesn’t fit our scheme

Ballege I’m not interested in

Don’t see Hernandez as a scheme fit

Penny in the 2nd round is too rich for my blood.

Mike white at 43 also too rich for me

No interest in teller either

If I’m taking a guard at 43 it’s isiah Wynn but doubting he gets there

Davenport 2 point stance player Nwosu not a scheme fit Leonard maybe gets to pick 73 didn’t see much else at lb that would interest me

Andrew brown was jumping the snap count all game long but he showed some real nice one gap quickness. I like the value there but I doubt miamis in that market

I want to look at the reeves kids tape I found him very interesting

The ot group at the senior bowl was largely forgettable. That kappa guy was a joke out there in that much space

I think tyquan Lewis is underrated

Tyquan Lewis is underrated. I live up here in big ten country and got to watch him every week.

Oklahoma DE is undersized, but you don't think he could be a sub pass rush in a 4-3? I watched Oklahoma plenty and I think the only thing he brings to table is his pass rush. They never asked much of him in coverage, and when they did it was masked. Great first step and spin move

I'm never big on the edge to DE transfers, but think okoronkwo fits the bill

I think there's a good chance Harris beats Branch out this year and will just keep getting better. Not that it matters what I think but the FO will continue to plan on him being the (near) future starter on the weak side. (If it's any comfort, Jason Taylor said this week he thinks Harris is a future Pro Bowler.) Wake has maybe a year left if they decide to keep him as a PR specialist so we need to invest in a base DE with some upside as a pass rusher. Somebody who is big enough to insert on early downs and be groomed as a full time player in 2019. Wake could also hang around on another mid-level contract after this year. He is a freak. I'm guessing they look for someone around round 3 unless we get lucky and someone drops to us unexpectedly. Could have been the plan when they shortened Hayes contract.

Andrew Brown was guessing the simplistic snap count and doing it correctly a high percentage of the time. But that doesn't detract from how quick he is off the ball. Covers an extraordinary amount of ground on the first two steps, when not immediately engaged. If the guard backs off into pass protection without an initial jolt it plays smack into Brown's hands because he'll already beat them to a gap.

He was a 5 star recruit who struggled early, apparently due to conflict with a position coach at Virginia who didn't care for him and wanted to teach a highly rated guy a lesson. It was a stubborn waste, more than anything else. I don't think he ever played his ideal position at Virginia. When I attended the Canes vs. Virginia game in Charlottesville in 2016 two Cavalier fans seated in front of me were frustrated about that, saying Brown was finally unleashed but too much on the outside and too much standing up. During that game I was wishing he were starting for the Canes.

Brown is representative of a very high number of 5 star recruits in this crop who didn't turn into first round players but didn't wash out either. Most of them are in the South. Too many to name in full, but guys like Blanding, Hand, Matthew Thomas, Chad Thomas, Sweat, Lorenzo Carter, etc.

I'll be very interested to see where they are drafted and how they pan out. If I were running a draft I know I'd be taking one or more of those guys every year, as long as they also checked out in terms of SPARQ and character and effort level.

I’ve been looking into Brown more and Awsi you seem to have hit the nail on the head, on every count, hit on everything I was going to bring up about him. I would absolutely take the guy. Watching his UVA tape, he was wasted. He’s going to be a good pro if he gets his head on right. He’s got some belly pudge and needs to take his body more seriously.

By the way the list you’re looking for, I had literally just gotten it from a friend:

DE DeShawn Hand, Alabama
S Quin Blanding, Virginia
CB Tony Brown, Alabama
DT Andrew Brown, Virginia
LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama
DE Lorenzo Carter, Georgia
DE Chad Thomas, Miami
LB Tre Williams, Auburn
LB Clifton Garrett, LSU

Matthew Thomas of Florida State by the way is an excellent, excellent linebacker IMO. I would take him as well.
