FWIW, I have been thinking that this season reminds me a lot of shula's last season.

Both teams had high expectations and a lot of talent.
Both teams had very strange losses and breakdowns at bad times.

Both teams in the previous offseason failed to address their glaring weakness.

In Shula's final offseason, the dolphins needed some defensive help, especially at the LB position. There was a FA LB (I forget his name) who wanted to come to Miami. Instead, we gave a contract to that Stiff TE from Pitt and cut loose K Jackson, and our offense floundered and our defense was still exposed.

In Wanny's final (I think) offseason, he neglected the glaring weakness of this team (WR, OT) for more defensive help. This year our defense has floundered (at times) and our offense has been exposed.

I think that this team may be able to win next year with some mild restructuring, maily because there is more talent on the offense (Chambers, RW, McMichael) than there was talent on the defense that JJ inherited.
