(Dillon Day is a loose cannon, but this kid can play. Fantastic center. Seems to have a habit of stomping on opposing players which has landed him in some trouble. Wasn't recruited by Les Miles at LSU because of some character concerns despite being from West Monroe... a pipeline to LSU. Looks like he might have a little Richie Incognito in him, although not quite to that extreme yet. Does everything to near perfection in terms of playing the pivot. Teams will need to determine whether or not he has a screw loose.)

Pay attention to #74 Jamil Douglas tonight for Arizona St. playing left tackle. This kid is a freak.

He played TE in high school and came to ASU weighing 260 pounds 4 years ago. Now he's over 300 pounds and moves like he's still 260 pounds.

Power cleans 385, squats 565, and has body fat measurements in the teens.

are you projecting him inside being that he is 6'4?

Brandon Scherff is my favorite offensive lineman in this class. NASTY. I just don't think he has the mirror ability to play on the left side. However, he can be an all pro RT or G.

I project him inside because he's started inside the past 2 years and that's where he looks more comfortable. Not because he's 6'4". He has the athleticism and feet to play tackle in the NFL, particularly for a team that likes to zone. His quickness, movement skills, and lateral agility are somewhat rare. Reminds me a little of Duane Brown who plays LT at a pro-bowl level in a zone scheme at 6'4".

I remember reading about him on Bruce Feldman's freaks list. Have yet to see him play though. I have some old Jaelen Strong film from last year. But I'd like to see him at LT also.

In watching the duo from Oklahoma, I don't think I've seen either bend their knees once. A lot of waist bending. I think they are NFL players, but I don't see either as a starter at the moment. This is solely off the West Virginia tape.

He did an outstanding job all night matched up against Owa Odighizuwa who's a pretty good DE prospect in my opinion as you can tell by my 2015 DE/OLB thread. Douglas completely shut him out despite still not being comfortable with the footwork at LT... I can certainly tell.

Nice find on Owa. He's one of my favorite sleepers after missing all of last year.

Scherff is just so strong. He's legendary in terms of weight room feats at Iowa. He looks better mauling people than he does in his pass sets. He can potentially get by at tackle, but looks like his best fit may be on the inside. However, he's a very alert and heads up player in terms of picking up stunts and blitzes.

Here's an idea of what happens to a blitzer when Scherff has him in the crosshairs....

As I've said before, I don't see a top 10 player in Cedric Ogbuehi. He looks very natural in pass protection with his feet, posture, and the way he moves. But he still struggles with giving up sacks despite solid technique. Dee Ford wore him out last year, for example. I just got finished watching him give up sacks against Rice. He's more a finesse tackle that likes to use positioning and angles. Doesn't have a mean streak. Gets put on skates by power and a good bull rush. Again, he's at his best with the way he uses his feet and frame to create position and angles. Good player, but not a top 10 player. Still doesn't look quite comfortable on the left side yet, but he'll be drafted to play left tackle.

You're absolutely right about his strength. Hang cleans like over 400+ he's a freak. I remember watching Shazier vs Iowa and 2/3 of the first plays Scherff drove him all the way into the sidelines. Kind of reminds me of a mix of 2 former Hawkeyes. Marshal Yanda and Bryan Bulaga. Put him at RT or G and he's a pro bowler for a decade.

Ogbuehi had really bad tape at RT. And some say he can play guard I don't see it at all. He's soft. He doesn't generate any movement in the run game and doesn't look interested in run blocking. He can't anchor bull rushers like you said. At RT he used over set and open the flood gate. I think he's a different player on the left side. Not a top 10 talent. But I think he is more comfortable on the left side. His kick slide more natural, he still has the same mirror skills, and he isn't oversetting any more. I concur, he is a good player, but not a top 10 talent. He can't anchor when rushers convert speed to power, and can't give you anything in the run game. A zone team will have to take him because he couldn't handle a power man scheme.

He might want to bury that Auburn tape. Dee Ford abused him all game. Most importantly when it mattered most in the 2 minute drill. When you needed him more than ever he didn't deliver. I can't ever forget that.

Just saw a Daryl Williams- Phil Loadholt comparison. Lofty praise for sure.
