Wasn't Ross supposed to talk to the media today at Noon (Eastern Time)? If so, can anyone provide a link to that press conference. I cringe everytime I hear him open his mouth, but I still would like to hear what he has to say nonetheless.

    Thanks in advance...

Starts at 12:30. Ross is in a lose lose situation today. No matter what he says, people will spin it in a negative light.

I did not ask him to speak. Let Joe be the voice and face of the team.

Joe Philbin speaks multiple times per week. I'm fine with Ross speaking, even if he has nothing of substance to say.

The best chance is Miamidolphins.com . . . they usually bring stuff live, but not certain this will be one of the items they bring. Also maybe the local radio stations could bring it, but I doubt it.

I don't mind him talking once in a while. As long as he doesn't turn into Jerry Jones who thinks he knows so much but doesn't. Ross will never be like that tho. He's letting the football people(even if they're the wrong people) make the decisions.

    Ozzy rules!!

He'd be a god if he started the PC by adressing the media, then looking right at Ireland and say "your fired"

I'd bow in front of my computer.

yep, FA is the answer... ask the Eagles 2011 and 2012 team, and pretty much every Redskins team in the Dan Snyder era pre 2012 season.

If the marlins can get it, im sure he can get it as well, specially since he has been willing to spend money on this team.

(Looks to the left at Richard Marshall, Looks to the right at Jake Grove's bloated corpse, looks forward and speaks...) "Free agency is NOT the answer".

Gee, wonder why Stephen. (Ireland slips out of a back door).

The Marlins "getting" it . . . is the reason he probably "won't get it".

Have you seen what they have done to the Marlins?

"His football intelligence, his knowledge and hard work. He has respect of his peers. He was one of youngest GMs around," Ross on Ireland.

Jeff Ireland is one hell of a speech writer.

A repeat: Ross says Ireland's "football intelligence, knowlege and hard work," are reason he's still here. "Smart, intelligent," Ross says of Ireland.

Re: Steven Ross: State of the Franchise

Talking about past experiences and this press conference bud. Both draft and free agency are the answer. By him saying free agency is not the answer it basically tells us to forget about any big names coming here. I'm talking about 1, not all three bowe, jennings, and wallace coming here. I'm a realist when it comes down to it and what he just said right there sucks.

Re: Steven Ross: State of the Franchise

I agree with you however, i don't think the city will ignore the fact that south florida is a good site to playthe superbowl plus he has a track record(short but substancial) of being willing to spend money in free agency and also buying up all the tickets so the games won't be blacked out. I think overall it's a little bit of a different situation.

I would normally agree with this line of thinking . . . but man that Marlins deal has really left a sour taste in people's mouths. I think it is going to be a while before we see public funding for any of the sports teams in South Florida.

He didn't say "because he's done a good job," so perhaps there is hope.
