The dolphins have had 15 sub-par QB's since the departure of Dan Marino.

Imagine for a moment that the year is 2008, and we draft a guy named Matt Ryan instead of Jake Long.

Fast Forward to 2011, and we are now talking about the battle between Matt Moore and Chad Henne. (OUCH)

Don't get me wrong. Long is an pro bowl player at one of the game's most important positions, and is also is key part to this offense. But IMO he was not worth passing up a much needed 1st round QB.

We, the fans, and to some extent the media continually place blame on the QB’s that have failed to take control of the roster but in reality, it’s more the management of the team that has put the Dolphins in such bad shape.

Dolphins coaches and managers simply never had a vision of what the team needed or should have been. That is why they never put an emphasis on drafting a QB.

To be completely honest with you, it's not their fault for not being able to see into the future. We have one of the best if not -the- best LT in football and when they picked up Culpepper they thought they were doing what was best for the team.

"Chad Henne just needs time to learn, grow, and develop. He has shown lots of promise even though rumors are he's never had an impressive practice. We're just gonna keep blaming other problems like the offensive line, inability to run the ball, Club Liv, J-Lo, that annoying Jimmy Buffett song, and the offensive coordinator so that we can keep those Chad Henne posters above our beds."

Who's talking about seeing into the future. It's understanding that NOTHING trumps finding a franchise QB, that NOTHING, NO POSITION, is more important to fill than franchise QB.

EVERY SINGLE DRAFT PICK CAN BE A BUST. But not busting at non-QB-positions, isn't really solving anything. This regime ABSOLUTELY HAD TO RISK DRAFTING QBs AND THEY SIMPLY HAVEN'T DONE THAT.

They've drafted 1 QB in 4 drafts - Henne (Pat White doesn't count).

That's just not cutting it.

If Matt Ryan was here, people would be b****ing he hasn't won a playoff game yet, and we missed out on the best LT in the game.

They would be bitching maybe but nobody ever makes that ***** because qb is way more important than LT. Now if Ryan sucked maybe so but Ryan has shown he is one fo the top young qb's in the game. People seem to give qb all the credit or all the blame for playoff losses and its a team game. Yes he is the most important player but he does not do it by himself and Atlanta seems quite fine without having one of the best LT's in the league

Matt Ryan would've been the right pick BECAUSE HE IS A QB.

And if he didn't succeed here, then the next year, they could've taken Josh Freeman BECAUSE HE IS A QB.

And if Freeman sucked, THEN THEY COULD'VE TAKEN ANOTHER QB.

And if we still had no QB, then.......DRAFT ANOTHER QB.

And even after we find our franchise QB, then it's still good to draft QBs where the value presents itself (see Pats taking Mallett in round 3) b/c QBs always carry good trade value.

On the other hand, you have regimes like the Tuna Leftovers who draft one QB in the late 2nd round in 4 years of drafting. And that gives you MEDIOCRITY. And we STILL DON'T HAVE A QB.

No matter what anyone says this regimes handling of the qb situtaion shows no priority to get a qb and the guys they have tryed to develop or draft have to this point been failures some quite huge beck and White come to mind.
