What a bloody beautiful sight. Northern Ireland has a population of 1.8 million, half of those are women. About half of those that remain are ill disposed to the existence of the country and most of the rest are ****e at football, or play rugby or other sports.

We would be the only team from pot 5 to ever qualify if we manage this. So nervous for Monday

All in all, there are some unlikely table leaders right now. Iceland, Wales, Austria, you guys. Thats a breath of fresh air

Man that meant a lot, will never forget that night (not long before that we had gone an entire qualification campaign without scoring a single goal!) Hopefully tonight we can get a result that will forever put that result in the shade. Weird it is exactly 10 years since that game

The night a little while later where we beat Spain (the champions at the time) 3-2 was rather fun as well!

Still hyped from that injury time goal it was dramatic enough that we even made the national backpages (doesnt happen much!)

So yea, not the win we needed, but after dominating the game but seeing that goalkeeping error **** everything up, that point feels ****ing good

This is a most excellent American HandEgg forum, but quite a often in VIP chat a few of us end up talking about proper football (much to the annoyance of hoops)

The sport seems to be bigger than ever in America these days and I know many yanks online who follow the sport very closely including a few here on FH. I thought I would see just how many on here follow it. I know loads of US based fans of English and Spanish teams but oddly I don't know a single MLS fan... any of you guys support an American team?

Personally I am a Manchester United fan and also support a team in the local semi-professional league in Northern Ireland - the quality inst great but I enjoy it.

Well that was unexpected a few weeks ago. Maybe he will still leave in the summer, but it wont be on a free transfer it will be for a world record fee
