Don't be that guy
He's far more than an athlete.
Am I the only one who loves Baker Mayfield? I love his competitiveness and leadership. He's the opposite of Tannehill in terms of personality and on the field demeanor. Not sure what type of QB Gase is looking for and does Gase even know what he's looking for at this point? I think ultimately Mayfield will be a 1st round pick but I would love for us to draft him in the 2nd or 3rd round. He reminds me of Russell Wilson but more of a gunslinger. His teammates seem to really rally around him. He's my guy right now if we are indeed looking to add a young QB to groom under Gase.
Man does Jarret Stidham look like a baller. If we could get him in second third round I'm all for it!
Actually the word athlete sums him up pretty well. I would be shocked if he even develops into a back up.
You must be Drunk.
I'm intrigued with Tanner Lee out of Nebraska, As a 2nd or 3rd round pickup I'd be all for it.
Mason Rudolph is my guy. I think he's going to be a very good NFL QB. Not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, but very good and a QB you can win with.
He didn't look good at all on Saturday lol.
More Mariota than RG3
If we somehow drafted him the Any Given Sunday memes would pour in
Jackson will be the 1st pick of either the Bills or the Jets. Whatever group of trash-QB teams clustered near the top of the board. That's why we need Derwin James.
I think we need to draft our QB of the future next year. I say keep either Cutler or Tannehill. If Cutler wins a playoff game, we keep him.
Not on the roster.
I would draft both Baker Mayfield and Bryan Schor. Mayfield is going to be famous before this year is over but Schor is FCS. http://jmusports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11842
I think Schor will breakthrough the small college barrier by the end of this year and get a 2nd round grade and declare. This is Jimmy Garrapollo part two, only Schor may be even a better passer and definitely a better runner. He led the nation last yea in completion % on his way to winning the FCS national championship by defeating in the semi's the NDSU Bison team the beat Iowa earlier in the season.
and ya gotta luv dat name
They have scouts at the Wyoming vs Oregon game. Even though Josh Allen has been stinking up the joint so far this season.
Bring him home
Jackson isn't a 1st rounder in NFL circles. Maybe that will change it certainly could but right now it's Darnold, Rosen and Allen in contention for the top QB taken
He hasn't been that bad. The team around him is straight trash. They drop everything
From what I had seen, I thought he collapsed a little under the strain against Iowa but that he's been fine since then. He's been holding up his end of the bargain for the most part.
This guy is simply amazing
Not sure if he will come out, but I am intrigued with Ryan Finley (NC STATE) as a developmental/ heir apparent QB. They were saying yesterday that he had something like 300 passes to 0 interceptions. He did end up throwing a pick 6 later in the game, but overall I think he has been pretty good this season. I like my QB's to be highly accurate, so this guy is on my radar. It will be interesting to see how he develops.

See I post a brand new thread about Lamar Jackson, before reading about, “Our new QB for 2018,” thread and see all the Jackson haters coming out of the woodwork. We are going to have to move on from the crap known as Jay Cutler/Matt Moore, so why not roll the dice on a guy who has lots of upside potential?
The old “ We have greater needs elsewhere argument,” is so old and stale. If you don’t have your franchise QB, you have no shot, and nobody knows: a) whether Tannehill’s knee will be 100% come 2018, and b) whether Tannehill is a franchise QB.
Mods feel free to merge my other new thread with this one if necessary.
