I don't doubt execution is the keystone to victory. Executing drives for scores first is a big advantage in the NFL. The Panthers won only 1 game where they did not score first in the reg season. Lost 2 games where they DID score first in the reg season. In the playoffs they won 1 game where they did not score first and lost one, the supper bowl, where they did not score first.

NE in the playoffs scored first in every game and won the super bowl.

The team with that mentality goes in the game with the idea that their won't be any turnovers and no 3 and outs, the opposing team has to play catch-up the whole time.

Everytime you have possession of the ball, the mentality should be that the team has to put the ball in the endzone. I don't care if you are 20pts. going into 4th quarter, playing not to lose is recipe for failure. The only time you can let up is if you are up by 20 and only have a minute left.
