Chill man, i didn't say they played like the 85 bears, maybe 2005 Bears. Just looking to see if he played well or had an effect on D.

His presence has been felt. Kiko is better when there are better players around him. Rey provides some much needed thump too. Godchaux has been a pleasant surprise. Less wide 9 than we thought. They have been a bright spot, sure we aren't a killer D, but the improvement is promising

Chargers and Saints at least have been somewhere between decent and excellent offenses the last few years, although I cant say ive seen em enough this year to judge. But yeah, titans surely nothing to be feared but as i said in another thread we shut down a team a good defense should...thats not a given as weve seen in the past.

Agreed that kiko is is better with players around him and happy to see that. Didn't see much of Malauga because i was watching in a stream cause i had dtv issues. If he and LT make Kiko better that should make our DTs and DEs better. Let's hope they can develop as qeeks go by. Regardless, run D is good to see and secondary is a welcomed bonus.

I'm encouraged by the play of the D. Timmons was a definite positive Sunday. I think Kikos strengths are amplified and weaknesses less noticable if he has fundamentally sound, stack and shredders next to him.

Hopefully he continues to fit in. He was an absolute beast in Pitt for a long time.

The LB core stunk the first two games and were real good the next two. Coincidience? I don't think so.

I still would like to know what really happened and if it was just lapse in judgement or is there something deeper that might resurface?

Even at his age his speed is a huge plus on this defense being that his replacements were incredibly slow. He has definitely made a positive impact on the defense/team since he's been back. Doesn't make many mistakes if any at all, and he's always around the ball. He'll definitely generate some turnovers and get a few sacks this season.

Its been a very strange year, not only for the Dolphins, the entire league. Foolishly, I still hold hope that the offensive line will stabilize which in turn will solidify the running game and hopefully help Cutler become the game-manager to win more games. All of this is dependent on the LBs, including Timmons and company to give the offense more time to find itself.

It's funny...the knee jerkers are quick to panic and write-off the offense on a couple games results...but not willing to give credit to improved defensive play.

    Same old same old.............

I think his experience will allow the guys around him to sniff out some plays before they develop. As others have mentioned, his presence alone should make Kiko a better player and allow him to do what he does best without worrying about the whole field. The added bonus is having young guys learn from him. Suh and Wake on the line, Timmons and kilo in the middle and R Jones leading the back. Hope they gel and get better each week.

The reason the Saints and Chargers are terrible is defense, their offense has produced the past few years; as stated above, I'm not sure about this year, but they've been productive in years past.

The big difference with Timmons is that he can actually cover a tight end, which has been a sore spot for this team for years.

Timmons in our lineup is making a difference. He looks instinctive, and stout against the run. He did an overall good job in coverage too.

I'd value your opinions a lot more if you actually gave credit once in a while. But it seems that since you're so against Kiko and Timmons, you're completely blinded by it.

Timmons did a very good job, and it's a shame what happened with him, but unless Timmons is able to impress upon the Coaches and T-Baum that he actually honestly loves it in Miami, I am afraid the writing is on the wall that he will be gone next season.

Timmons did effect Kiko well, but as I have said, put quality players around Kiko, and allow him to not have to concentrate on too many things, and Kiko will plays like you saw against the Titans, and when he does that, the D-line will also do better. Next year we will be getting back McMillan (Who I still believe will be exceptional), get another quality LB, and whether Timmons is still in Miami or not, the defense should be even better.

He definitely is all around the ball. I think that the more these guys play together the better they are going to get. Sunday is going to be their test. ATL is the best team that we have faced so far.

The same Matt Cassel who put 48 points and 415 yards against us at one time. Yeah a long time ago but if the plays are there to be made he's shown he can make them.
