Dolphins' A Johnson likely out for season
Dolphins' A Johnson likely out for season that sucks :
Ya his injury looked bad...he couldnt even get up....Man this is a bummer.....It looks like destiny never wanted him in the NFL to began with.
Torn ACL for AJ....Gone for the season.
he finally has a break out game and it turns out to be his last of the season......what else is new?
Minor and Ward will take kick-off and punt return duties respectively.
Oh well....on with the season.
Here's the link
A. Johnson was no better or worse than J. Ogden IMO....
He will easily be replaced.
Robert Baker anyone?
I think Minor will be alright returning kicks....at least he'll get to do SOMETHING......Ward is a good steady veteran who probably should be returning punts for us anyway. JMO, of course.
Yeah Robert Baker would be nice. I say put McKnight back there to return kicks and punts. Put that speed to some use!!!
MCdrops i dont know. Can he hold onto the ball?
I hope they sign Craig Yeast. If I can remeber correctly, this guy had some good returns againts us when he was with the Jets. I know he has speed, but not much else.
It figures, when it rains it pours...I feel bad for A.J. but I thought all along Baker deserved to be on this team instead. Maybe they will sign him since I think he is still available. Any word on Dixon?
he's out 1 game max w/high ankle sprain - see http://www.finheaven.com/boardvb2/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7186
I knew Robert Baker shouldve made it over him..however i do feel for him.Hoping for a comeback AJ!
AJ was a betta return guy and Baker a betta WR. We need a return guy still and have a solid WR (McKnight) sitting on the bench. WE have Hooks on the PS last I looked but not sure he is return guy. Someone said Miranda (DB) was a return guy, too...
This sucks. I know most of you thought he sucked, but he got lots of yards almost every time he got the ball and was great on KOs yesterday.
: he finally got over his jitters and was looking solid then he made a un-Ogden-like play and tried to return a punt that he should have FC'ed and got whacked : totally sucks for him and the Fins :stuck:
[intro]Miami Dolphins KR Albert Johnson will be out for the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee during the game Sunday vs. the Chiefs. [/intro]
Simply for the main page...
Unfortunate news. AJ was one of the few bright spots yesterday. As he nailed down some of the fundamentals, I believe that his confidence would have grown weekly and his talent would have started to show through. Having two ACL tears in three years is also really tough, mentally as well as physically. Good luck to Albert in his ensuing rehab.
As for his replacement, didn't we sign David Allen to the practice squad?? I must admit, I'm no authority on this player, but I have heard some good things about him.
Perhaps Jamar Fletcher will come in and lead the league in returns. Wouldn't that give rise to some interesting discussion
Do or do not.........there is no try
He may not be on the PS anymore, so this point may be redundent. However, I dug up some pre-draft info on David Allen. There is nothing very illuminating here, but take a look anyway:-

I like the Craig Yeast idea. I thought he was good whenhe was with the jets. I thought he was with someone though. We will sign someone before wednesday.
