    I think Thigpen is a good quarterback. He should be the backup for us.

    It's certainly his to lose. He performed on an acceptable level on a terrible team. And he didn't have enough action for us last season to call him bust or otherwise. Everyone can throw picks when trying to come back from a large deficit. However he will never progress beyond a starter on a crap team or a backup on a good one if he elevates to nothing more than what he is now.

    He's decent, a guy that will probably always have a job somewhere in the NFL.

    He has good skills, but nothing special. He is your average backup QB that could easily start a team with a lot less talent.
