This mock is based on the Dolphins being led to the playoffs by Jake Cutler. Dolphins slap the tag on Cutler in 2018.
Dolphins draft two QB's in 2018.

Dolphins trade Landry to the Panthers for LG Andrew Norwell. Dolphins give Norwell a 5 year 55 mil deal loaded with guaranteed money. Andrew Norwell was ranked 12th in the league at the guard position in 2016 and ranked in a similar position in 2015. Obviously the contract is creative and there is only a miniscule cap hit this year with the bulk of the money coming in year' 2-4.

Dolphins sign Daryl Washington to a one year deal and he picks up where he left off several years ago and has a Pro Bowl season at MLB.

Ryan Tannehill is cleared physically in February and is traded for a 1st round pick in early March.

    Pouncey, injured again, retires.

Young corners look great and the Dolphins trade Byron Maxwell for a 4th.

Ju'Wuan James has a healthy and strong season but, he walks and we take the comp pick.

Julius Thomas has a so-so year so we let him walk and take the comp pick.

Dolphins have close to 70 mil in cap space but the Norwell deal and the tag on Cutler quickly knock it down to 35 mil.

Dolphins sign TE Tyler Eifert to a long term deal.

Dolphins use the rest of their cap room to keep high performing vets and maintain a nice rollover.

Dolphins draft 2018: Extra 1st for RT and 4th for Maxwell.

    1st....QB Baker Mayfield
    1st.....DT Vita Vea
    2nd....OG Cody OConnell
    3rd.....LB Micah Kiser
    4th.....OT Trey Adams
    4th.....LB Nick Deluca
    5th.....QB Bryan Schor
    6th.....S Steven Parker

    Roster/Depth

    QB......Cutler,Mayfield,Schor
    RB.....Ajayi,Drake, Storm Johnson,Senorise Perry
    TE....Eifert,Fasano,Gray,Duarte
    WR.....Parker,Stills,Caroo,Grant,Stringfellow,Owusu
    OT.....Tunsil,Smith/Young,Trey Adams
    Center/OG...Steen/Brendel,Norwell,Oconnell,Asiata

    DT....Suh,Vea,Phillips,Godchaux,Taylor
    DE....Wake,Hayes,Branch,Harris,Fede
    MLB...DeLuca,McMillan,Hull
    Will....Kiko,Kiser,Watts
    Sam...Timmons,Allen
    Safety...Jones,T.J> McDonald,Hendy,Lucas,Steven Parker
    CB...Howard,Lippett,Tankersley,Verner,McCain,McTyer,Aikens

There is plenty of cap room if they need to spend at center or RT,etc.
Just hoping some of the young guys really develop this year.

This is a great offseason plan to be honest. I like the first two picks, especially Vea. Anybody offering a 1st for Tannehill can take him.

A 5th is probably the best we'd get for Maxwell. That's a pretty good deal for Landry, Norwell is an excellent player.

Did we not pick up Ju'Wuan James's fifth year option?

Juwan James has this year and next year left on his deal. Did some tinkering at overthecap.com, if Miami restructured Suh, and either cut or traded guys like Tannehill, Maxwell, Pouncey, and Julius T, with the carry over they'd be looking at around $57 million in cap space next year.

What's Landry's current trade value, that's the real question.

Whoa hold up the QB franchise tag is like $22M that's too much for a 35 year old Cutler
