Didnt he have surgery like four days ago? So he got cut like four days ago
He won't be cut.
If he can still play i don't think he will be. That it leaves open the option to trade Moore at the trafe deadline.

There is a poll to select that choice. Clicking on it and pressing select makes that statement. This area is where you EXPLAIN your opinion.
If Tannehill emerges as the starter, the safer backup choice is Moore, but I think we start the season with all three.
Voted "within the next few days" but only out of blind, youthful optimism.
I might end up being wrong, but I think he makes the final roster. The coaching staff seems higher on him than they do with Matt Moore. If he is "healthy" by the end of preseason, he likely will be on the roster.
Within the next 2 weeks. I don't think we need Moore/Tannehill, AND Garrard.
HA! I did it.
I knew Omar at the very least lurked on here. However, I didnt suspect he was a regular poster.
AdamC13 is OMAR KELLY.
even if they want him back they should cut him before week one so his salary isn't guaranteed
Somebody had to represent.
IF DG were healthy I think he would be a better bet than Moore. BUT Moore has done enough to show that he can do well - he is no Cleo Lemon. If Tannehill struggles and we need a backup that can actually play for a longer period of time Moore is a better choice than DG who needed surgery without any contact to speak of.
Talks like Omar, sounds like Omar, votes like Omar. Must be...................
Cause we are the Dolphins and we are due to F something up.
I'm gonna say when the roster is cut down to 53. Tannehill, Moore, and Devlin will be our QBs for the season.
I voted he will make the 53 it can't really be determined until we get a good look at T Hill in the next 2 games.
one can only hope
Mr. Omar to you!
 Youre god damn right. If these idiots let Garrard steal another 2.5 mil from them they should all be fired immediately. I will lose all hope for this entire staff if they havent caught on to the fact that Garrard is a fraud yet.

Youre alright man.
Wish he was cut last week. I selected in 2 weeks, first cuts. We have too many other positions that need more evaluation than to keep him on the roster. No sense in keeping a old , hobbled , mediocre qb when we already have a healthy mediocre qb.
The only reason i can find for us keeping him up to the final cuts is in case tanny or moore gets hurt in preseason. Or if another qb goes down for some other team in preseason , ireland might swindle some team out of a 7th.LOL
He wont be cut i think if anything he will be back for the last game and play. If not he will be our #2 or possibly starter unless Tannehill has won it. I know he looked good in camp but it is just camp so...
I voted that he will make the final cut. IMO i feel like he will make the cut because the coaching staff has held him in high regard and seemed to be fairely disappointed to hear about the injury. Furthermore, if they werent interested in him at this point after the injury why not cut ties now? I believe he will make the roster because I dont think the injury was serious enough to sideline him for too long. I believe the coaching staffs plan is to use Garrad and try to get some wins under him starting. Of course the goal is for tannehill to start in the future, he has to being picked so high, but I feel like they want him to inherit a team with some capable weapons at wide out. I dont think their intentions are to toss Tannehill in there and tell him to work with what he has. I dont even think the coaching staff knows what they have yet, so why ruin the guys confidence and ask him to save the team and organization with what we have. Play Garrad if and when he is healthy and try to get wins and next year for sure we draft some dominant weapons to work with at wr and then hand it over to Ryan and just let him play.
Shows how far this franchise has fallen. We have to pray that washed up players don't make the roster because of the buffoonery of management
It would be stupid to cut him now because Moore or Tannehill could be injured in the preseason and we could need him. You only cut him when you have to. I think he will be cut when when we have to make the 53 man roster, and he could even be stashed on the PUP list. If Moore and Tannehill are healthy, I don't expect him to play for us.
Cutting him for the first game wont save us any money since he already received his guaranteed pay in the form of a $1 million signing bonus for the year.
Need him for what? so we can finish with a couple more wins and a crappier draft spot next year? no thanks.
I want to win just as much as the next fan, but if Tanne and/or Moore get hurt we still won't win anything meaningful with DG as our QB.
Here's Deon Grant simulate Garrard's injury
I think Moore gets traded at the end of preseason, Tannehill starts, and Garrard is the backup, with Pat Devlin tagging along at 3.
I think they keep Garrard
Garrard gets cut an hour before kickoff in Houston for Week 1. Essentially they leave Garrard in Houston and he'll have to find is own way back home.
He was the starting qb until the day before the first preseason game. He led the qb competition comfortably according to virtually every reporter. He didn't rupture an acl or tear an Achille's tendon- he had a routine maintenence roto-rooter job on his knee. The timing may have screwed him out of the starting job until/unless Tannehill or Moore struggles, but he's not going anywhere.
So if Tannehill or Moore were to get injured in the preseason, you would be ok with Delvin being the #2 QB? As much as I dont like Garrard, that would be idiotic to choose Delvin over Garrard for so many reasons.
i would like to see a couple of those "many" reasons you speak of... Is one reason because our elite WR core would be upset that they wont have a washed-up, oft-injured QB throwing them the ball?
What would be idiotic is paying a washed-up qb who is not going to win you anything of significance 2.5 million dollars just because you think Tannehill AND Moore will get hurt IN THE PRESEASON!!!. That sounds rather dumb to me.
 Great post.
I figure in two weeks. Gives us a chance to see make sure RT and MM have some semblance of control over this offense and would still allow Garrard a chance to hook up with another team as a backup. Classy teams give vets that chance to find another team when possible. Maybe he makes final cuts, but I just don't see us laying out 2.5mm on a guy that clearly can't stay healthy for 16 games and frankly isn't going to make us relevant anyway.
Ireland looked depressed when he heard about Garard being out for 4 week tops. I think the staff is high on him and he will make the final cuts.
Guys forgive me if this has been discussed -- but did anyone see his freaking Louis Vuitton bag when he went in to get his knee checked out on Hard Knocks? He was clutching it like he had his tampons and heels inside.
Gerrard is slightly better than Moore but I'm not sure he's worth the 2.5 he would cost. I agree with PJack, it should happen ASAP.
