We all know who number 1 is, but who would you say is the 2nd ever greatest player for our beloved Dolphins?

I wanna say JT, but that would mean that our Top 2 are guys that didn’t bring any titles to Miami. Hard to believe that we can’t find #2 on the team that went to 3 straight SB’s, winning 2 of them and producing a perfect season in the process.

I’ll give my vote to Csonka. Sheer brutality has to count for something...

Richard Paul Anderson (honesty guys he only went by D**k but yall act so childish with the anti-swear thing...) best coverage safety our franchise ever had. we need 2 cover safeties this offseason, or we're 6-10 again next season.

Can't forget Brian Griese at all..HOF qb, 2 rings.

He might be #2 now that I think about it.

It's between Jason Taylor and Larry Csonka for me. I'd probably give the nod to Csonka for the simple reason that no one could stop him and he was so instrumental to Miami winning two titles.

    Top 5 for me:'

    1. Dan Marino
    2. Larry Csonka
    3. Jason Taylor
    4. Bob Griese
    5. Paul Warfield

I'm going with Jason Taylor, best defensive player we've ever had. I can only imagine what he could do in a more creative scheme like what Nick Saban ran compared to the Vanilla crap Jim Bates ran for years.

A lot of people consider Stephenson to be the best center ever, so his name should be tossed into the hat. Madison was the best corner in the league for a few seasons until Champ Bailey started dominating. It's hard to argue against JT or Zonk or Warfield but I tend to think their accomplishments fly a little under the radar.

Gun to my head ... Taylor.

Brian griese sucks. I always remember him with Miami fumbling vs the colts after the defense set him up for a comeback win. Bum.

    Good call on Stephenson.

I'd have to go Stephenson, Taylor, Griese, Csonka.

Really kind of depressing if you think about it. Throw out Marino , Zack and JT and the last 45 years have been dreadful.

It’s Dwight in terms of individual dominance of his respective position. No question.

IMHO, it is something like this:

    1. Dan Marino (GOAT)
    2. Larry Csonka (yeah, he's the guy who broke Jim Brown's records at Syracuse and then led the Dolphins to the only NFL Undefeated Season)
    3. Dwight Stephenson (of the TWO Dolphin Centers in the HoF, he's the best)
    4. Jason Taylor (lots of good players can make a case for this one, but I'm going with Jason Taylor, fantastic pass rusher and inexplicably a very good run defender despite being constantly undersized. Did whatever it took to play an incredible number of games per season, and really gave his all for the Dolphins until Parcells didn't want him anymore)
    5. Paul Warfield (Lots of good players here, but I'm going with our greatest ever WR, and if he played today he would be a perennial All-Pro, but his legend is only muffled by the fact that the rules favored running back then. Singular talent).

Honorable Mention: Too many to truly list, but here are some: Larry Little, Bill Standfill, Zach Thomas, Bob Griese, Nick Buonticonti, Manny Fernandez, Richard "D..k" Anderson, Bob Baumhower, Ed Newman, Jim Langer, and of the recent Dolphins, Ndomakong Suh and Cam Wake. We have been a fortunate franchise over the years ... just not so much lately.

Dwight Stephenson, the greatest Center ever.

Bear Bryant said Stephenson was the best player he ever coached (while at Alabama).

All good choices above but I'll throw out two more names for consideration in the top 5. Larry Little and Jake Scott.
