Why?

Just one thing that hasn't been said that I think needs to be pointed out...A great many people surf this site while at work, which means they can't have a big ***-shot coming up on their computer screen because it may get them in trouble somehow.

I see many sites that lable links as NSFW(not safe for work) or SFW(safe for work)...and I see many people getting mad at other people for NOT labeling their links or for posting picks that are NSFW without a warning.

I'm sure we have many people here that would appreciate being able to surf this site without worrying about NSFW photos poppping up out of their control.

Also, IMO, people who constantly question other's sexual orientation are most likely struggling with the same questions within themselves because, people point out what they think they see in others that which is most evident in themselves.

:rocker: Well said Mike.

I wouldn't doubt that you're confused about a great many things. As evidenced in this thread alone, you've failed to comprehend:
  • that a limit on the size of sig pics is stated in the rules,
  • that allowing one bikini picture in the main would mean allowing them all,
  • that the people who run the site have come to the collective conclusion that bikini-style pics in the "Talk Dolphins Football" forums generate excessive off-topic posting and other problems,
  • that you can't post here without seeing (and apparently, in your case, ignoring) the request that you review the TOS before posting, and
  • that the rules apply to you.
Another thing you've evidently missed is that you are here as the guest of the site's owner, who has worked out the rules with the members and the staff (you know, -- the moderators you just attempted to slur).

Your very weak attempt at questioning the "masculinity" of the moderators fails on several levels, not the least of which is your implication that it would be appropriate -- or your place at all -- to judge anyone here negatively on the basis of orientation. I know of at least one mod who isn't attracted to women at all. Her name is Mary, and she's happily married to a man. And whether any man personally finds cheerleaders (or women in general) attractive doesn't speak to masculinity, -- just orientation. (Unless you're willing to acknowledge that you're less masculine than many gay men of your size who could kick your ***. Yeah, -- I didn't think so.:shakeno: )

Anyway, even though your attempt at impugning the moderators missed by a country mile, I will give you credit for trying to make a sexist comment. And since that violates the TOS, I'll give you a couple days off from posting so you can study the house rules and avoid trouble down the road.

In the future, please be aware of and follow the rules, even if you disagree. When you do disagree, feel free to state your concerns here in the questions/complaints/suggestions forum. But be advised that firing off ignorant, homophobic shots at your hosts won't be received well.

Thanks to the other folks who added info to the thread to help explain why it was decided -- after much discussion and consideration -- that this policy was necessary and appropriate.

Had one member not made the mistake of directing a dumb comment at the very people who provide him and everyone else this enjoyable forum, these points would have been made without anyone facing criticism or sanction.

The point's been made. I'll take my foot off ercin's neck now.:)

You're back in good standing, ercin. If you want to discuss this further, you're welcome to without fear of sanction, -- as is usually the case in this forum. Just do so without dopey comments, okay?:)

Your friend,
P4E

A wise man is intimately familiar with the fine line between enforcement and equanimity. You're a wise man.

We'd all do well to emulate these actions.

I find it inappropriate because of her OBVIOUS camel toe, jeez, can you say panty liner!

I read the TOS and no we don't need a porn site.

Isn't there an option to make avatars and sigs invisible? Just use that. It's like banning certain pay per view events. If you don't want to see it, don't pay for it and watch it!

Everyone reads the TOS, you have to electronicaly sign the TOS before you can become a member. Certainly, no one signs the thing without reading it, right.......
