Heap, Mason, and Kelly Gregg were released too.

I want Heap. Badly. He can catch and block, and would be good for a year or two til we can draft a TE for the future.

Not the type of back we need.

Heap is broken. He can catch and block, I will give you that. But unfortunately, whenever he makes a catch or performs a block, he's out for half the season. Brittle.

I wouldn't even consider it. Solid veteran back, but we need a burner bad. I think Bush/Bradshaw is more the route we need to go.

we might not be able to afford a expensive back like bush, mcgahee might be the better option if he will negotiate a affordable price, + are you sure mcgahee aint no burner? from what i saw last year he still is a burner.

While Heap would be cheaper, I would rather have Zach Miller

I think Willis would make sense to sign if we don't resign Ricky or Ronnie and don't land Bradshaw or Williams

Everyone would rather have miller, but there is only one miller. I don't really want McGahee... would rather have bush, or bradshaw, or williams, or snelling.

    :bobdole:

Lets go ahead and start a thread about EVERY name player who is a salary cap casualty the next few days whether the phins have any interest at all or not.

 In all honestly and massive stupidity on my part.. I completely forgot about all the threads that would start popping up about how we should sign every crap player that is released. Cant wait to read about how we should sign someone like Malcom Kelly or Brandon Stokely would be a great signing.

Put him on the other side of Marshall with Bess in the slot and you got a nice group of receivers, including Gates.

Agreed. A veteran and a perfect #2 guy for us. He can still get it done despite his age.

As for McGahee, I wouldnt have a problem with him, but I have heard no one in the media so much as suggest him coming to the phins and I honestly dont understand the interest. I mean, he is still a bit useful and I thought he was a good player a few years ago, but how would it be a big deal if we sign him? He would be nothing more than a 5 or 6 carry a game player. Perhaps a goal line option. I dont see how he fits in. If we sign an older back, why not Ricky?

I dont understand the creation of a thread about his release either. But, as I suggested, Im sure all week there will be threads about EVERY player who is a name or was a name at one time who is released and should we sign him. Im sure plenty of them will be titled...."so and so ANYONE?" I hate that thread title.

    We agree for once WV.....

Willis McGahee in Miami would be nothing but a reserve role. A chance for him to return home. He's no longer good enough to be a feature back, and hasn't been for a real long time. Come on.....

No to Mcgahee and Todd is a heap of trash. Mason? Maybe.
