This team is officially a disgrace. We have some serious work to do in the personel department. We need to acquire some real talent all over this offense. Defensively, we have some guys to work with, but still lack guys who can make impact plays.

But, let me start with a couple of guys who should be New York Jests, because they would be a real nice fit on that team since they talk big and play small.

Reggie Bush - All week we had to hear this nonsense about Reggie Bush didnt deserve to be benched, he is the only playmaker we have on offense, and Philbin was making a crucial error.

Let me tell you a little about Reggie Bush. Reggie Bush is a huge vagina. This is why he occasionally makes an explosive play. He is so moist and slippery that he can be tough for the defense to nail down. Yet, when he tries to run laterally, he gets stretched out by black guys.

All week we had to listen to Reggie Bush run his mouth, making apologies, and talking about how he is going to step it up. First of all Reggie, we dont need you to tell us that you have blown for weeks now. We have been watching. Secondly, I dont need you to confirm Philbin's decision to sit you on the bench. It was a good move not just because you fumbled, but you simply havent ran hard since Laron Landry hot sauced you. You are killing this team since that time. Finally, I dont want to hear out of your mouth how you are going to step up. Lets see it OK. Dont be a JET. Be a real leader. Lead with your play on the field.

Again, since Reggie got hot sauced, he hasnt been worth a damn. He is dancing and running soft. He laid down in the 2nd half of that Jests game when he couldve played and that was one of the big reasons we lost that game. Reggie fails to show up when it counts. This is all because Reggie Bush is a huge gash.

Reggie Bush is one of the most overrated players in the NFL. He is up there with Scam Newton, Vick, RG3 and 6, and others. He is all hype. The guy makes a highlight reel run every 2 months and he is supposed to be a playmaker? Get real. All Reggie Bush is, is a celebrity. Thats it. Its part of the hip hop culture and the hype of dating porn stars with herpes.

One of the biggest excuses I get sick of hearing for this guy is "they are using him wrong". This is complete nonsense. Just admit he is nothing more than a decent 3rd down/scat back. He is not a real starting RB. Simple as that. Notice on that last run he had where he actually gained 10 yards, even Mayock pointed out how right before impact, Reggie slows up and braces himself for the hit. A real RB would hammer through that. Even if you dont break the tackle, act like a real RB and serve punishment. WRs take dives and find the sidelines. RBs are supposed to punish. But, hey. Reggie is not a RB. He is a scatback/3rd down RB.

The draft has become such an overhyped event that everyone who is drafted high is automatically perceived as this great player. It wasnt long ago that guys drafted in the top few picks werent annointed so easily. They had to prove it on the field. Now days with all the Mayocks, Kipers, and McShays of the world with their mock drafts in October before the draft order is even set(I cant explain that ****. Cant figure the point.) if youre drafted early, youre a household name. Reggie Bush is a guy who was going to be cut in New Orleans and only traded for a 6th round pick because Miami wanted to avoid him hitting the open market. Yet, because he is a name and was drafted 2nd overall, he gets credit for being a big time NFL RB.

This brings me to the 2nd incredibly overrated player on this team...... Jake Wrong.

Jake Wrong is an overpaid, overrated, fat, cornfed, piece of ****. All this talk about pro bowls is nonsense. He isnt even one of the best 10 LTs in the league. Matty Ice would be a better LT than Jake Wrong.

This guy continues to get straight up bullied. He got blown up on a toss play by a completely washed up, roided out, Merriman. Sean Merriman. This guy barely hangs on an NFL roster. Yet, he made Jake Wrong his *****. And this is the guy some of you are talking about we need to resign? For what? I wouldnt resign him if he took a so called hometown discount. I wouldnt resign him if he took bottom tier LT money. He is garbage.

Almost every play where Martin gets smoked at RT, Jake is getting beaten as well. Its like the DEs from the opposition have a meeting at Tannehill. Jake Wrong got straight bullrushed on that play where Martin's man got a sack. If he hadnt gotten there, whoever Long was attempting to block was getting a sack.

Week after week he just gets worse and worse. Im really sick of hearing he is injured too. I havent seen him on the injury report. If he is injured, then dont play. If youre going to play, I dont want to hear excuses.

This idea that Jake Wrong is some kind of a leader is ridiculous. Get your big ugly Michigan tatoo off my team. Turn your hat around and find the first flight out of Miami.

Im not so sure Martin can play LT either. I hope its just a case of he is playing out of position and needs experience because he gets beaten like a drum over there.

Incogniblow is terrible too. Go take pride in your dirtiest player hype somewhere else. All this OL has is Pouncey and Jerry. We have a lot of work to do with this group. Unreal. All that cornfed drafting and we have total **** for OL.

Defensively we werent horrible tonight, holding Buffalo to 4 FGs. But, this defense lacks playmakers. I get tired of hearing how Wake gets held. Make a play. And when you finally get a sack because no one blocked you and we are losing by 12, I can do without the dancing and posing OK.

This secondary is pathetic. Im glad to see Jones emerging. He was all over the field tonight. But, nobody in this secondary wants to make a big play. Intercept a ball more than once every month would ya please. Jimmy Wilson cost us a critical 3 points. That ball was in the air so long he couldve fair caught the thing. What was the point in going to the ground? Just walk under it and catch it.

I gave Dansby a lot of grief in the preseason. But, to his credit, he is the lone one of those so called "leadership council" members who has any ****ing balls. His play has backed up his talk. He needs to keep it quiet when things dont go his way, but his play has matched that of a leader. He also played the 2nd half of that big win over the Jests with an injury. Reggie Bush dosent have that kind of guts. Notice btw, the first time we crossed midfield tonight was when Bush was on the sidelines. Just like when he got benched last week, our lone scoring drive was with Bush on the sideline.

Now I have to talk about Tannehill before I wrap this up.

Ryan Tannehill has played like complete dog**** for 10 qtrs now. He has been terrible. And while its true the OL has been total garbage and we dont have much in the way of skills position players, I dont want to hear those excuses. Players have to be accountable for their own play and that includes the rookie QB.

The reality is that there were plays to be made out there and Tannehill has not made them. He is missing on throws that are there. That play to Clay wouldve been a huge one. He missed that throw by a mile. He is even missing on simple screens. There was one to Bush that couldve been a big play but, Tannehill missed. He just is not making good throws or good decisions right now when he has the chance.

Despite how badly the OL played and the lack of talent on offense, if Tannehill had played well, we couldve won tonight. He needs to get it together or we are going to be completely justified in wondering if he really is our guy going forward.

Lastly, I dont want to hear the bull**** about playcalling. Look, when you have a complete lack of talent on offense and poor execution, there is not a playcall that is going to work. It isnt the playcalling. Its bad play by bad players. Put some talent out there and guys who can execute and those plays will work just fine. This is a fact because those plays have worked many times before. Its just when they worked, they were ran by good players who executed them properly. They werent ran by scrubs who cant get open, cant block anybody, and cant throw it where it needs to be thrown. Simple as that.

The one thing the coaches can do better is realize what they have. Get it through their heads that Reggie Bush dosent need to be starting or getting a bunch of carries. He needs to be brought in on 3rd downs to block a blitz or exploit a mismatch in the passing game. Give him a couple of carries on a draw or something, but stop trying to use him as a grinder. Daniel Thomas is our regular RB.

They should also realize that Devone Bess does not belong on the field unless its 3rd down and we are in a 3 WR set that includes him IN THE SLOT. He is a great mismatch to exploit in that situation, but a wide out he is not. He simply dosent belong on the field spread wide. He gives you no threat at all down the field. It makes the defenses job so much easier and allows them to cut off a lot of the field. It hurts our run game.

Hartline is fine. He can threaten a defense deep. Bess is great in the slot. When you go 3 wide, he should absolutely be out there. But, hey. If Moore, Matthews, or Gaffney cant be the WR opposite Hartline, then were screwed. Bess simply isnt an option in that spot. Personally, I think Matthews should get opportunities. At this point, there is nothing to lose and I think we could be missing out on something. Give the kid a chance.

Get Long and Bush off of this team. Give Matthews a chance. Load up on guys who can make plays in this draft. Defensively we need guys in the secondary who can actually intercept a ball and guys who can really threaten the QB without everyone complaining they are being held on every play. Offensively, we need guys who can threaten the defense with speed. If we can get some of these players, we may have a shot. But, even if we do, Tannehill is going to have to play better or we will never win anything.

When do the Coaches take responsibility? if Tannehill must be held acciountable then so should Philbin, Sherman and Coyle.

I think a huge step in improving the D would be finding a pass rusher opposite Wake. Odrick is a borderline bust. If you have one of the better pass rushers in the NFL it should be easy to have a great pass rushing unit. Good write up once again, your Jake wrong rants are hilariously accurate.

I agree. The blame goes around equally. They were Sparanoesque conservative most of the game and if there are no excuses for Tannehill there's definitely none for the coaching staff.

I can't tell you how many times I read "franchise Long" or "franchise Bush" this past week. Insane. "Letting them walk would create holes." They are holes. Huge, festering, herpes-riddled vagina holes.

    Merriman! Jesus...

Sure. The coaches are accountable. Im with you there. Im just not going to blame it on playcalling. If you want to blame the style of offense or the use/lack of use/misuse of the players on the roster I cant argue with you there.

Im so tired of our O-line being such a goddamn mess. I thought this would be one unit we wouldnt have to worry about this year but I was clearly wrong.

I agree that the draft is an overhyped event, and too many fans on this board dont like to give up 2nd or 3rd round picks for proven talent. I bet some people on here wuld b against giving up a 1st for Calvin Johnson cause they think we can draft a younger more talented player in the first. Some may say its jeff irlands fault and he doesnt draft well, that may be true but just look back at the entire 1st round drafts for every team in the last 5-10 years, very few have become great players. I like the idea of building through the draft but in reality the draft is a crapshoot. Id rather add proven talent.

Tannehill has been struggling but it reminds me of Drew Brees early struggles in San Diego, Brees had absolutely no talent his first couple years besides LT. The difference between Tannehill and Henne is that Tannehill actually has emotions and talks to his WR's after a bad play, I saw him talking to Bess on the sideline after he threw that first pick, which Bess should have turned around and jump or attempted to go after the ball. Bryd intercepted it right in front of him, but Bess isnt that kind of WR.

Merriman obviously back on the juice.

What do you want Bush to say? He's required to answer the medias questions by the league, do you really think "no comment" would go over better than "I stunk and I deserved to be benched".

Maybe both. Long has played bad this season but this is the first time I've ever seen him thrown like a rag doll. And this is the best Meriman has played since the last time he was on the juice.

damn wv you killed it for a lot of that...but the fact of the matter is this team only moved the ball when that damn dinosaur oc got out of base 2 wr i form sets on early downs late in the 3rd quarter..as soon as we went to more early downs 3 and 4 wr sets or clay flexed out in offset single back sets we made hay on o...

unlike the bills who ran 3 wr sets in shotgun etc and single backs all over the field against us to give them running lanes and soft fronts against our nickle early and often...

anyways can't believe you left out sean smith who has played like a should be looking for work corner of late this year more than a guy looking for top dollar in free agency

agreed on long and bush by the way...hell longs getting beat by 250 lb edge guys with power now adays...not just outside speed...and bush won't press the hole b/t the tackles if his life depended on it...

I thought before tonight's game that Jake Long was playing poorly, but still a competent left tackle. Honestly, I can't even say that anymore. Even if he offers to come back at a huge discount, I'm not sure I want him. He's not good.

I agree with almost everything you said ,except a tad bit harsh on RT. The one he missed with Clay, I think he thought Clay would keep crossing field yet Clay slightly went up field. Rook mistakes, and I can deal with that. He looked poised and did what he could on EACH play. I ACTUALLY have access to tapes, that some may not have. Wide receivers were NOT open, he did have small windows to throw to. Anyone who thinks Brady,Brees, or either Manning could do better you suck as a talent evaluator. Any one with half a brain can see why the FINS O has struggled. Lack of a wr.... PERIOD. As hard as it makes on RT , it's just as hard on the oline. A successful offense is just like a smooth running engine. We are where I thought we would be at this pt in season( actually further, I thought they would be wusses and sit RT, they did EXACTLY the right thing) and are sitting rather nicely with a nice offseason to really be a player next year....really need help in the secondary...... Bash away

I have no idea what's going on with Long, but he's absolute garbage at this point. Garbage. He's not even average. He's ****ing terrible. And I don't know what the **** happened to the o-line, but they couldn't block Susan Boyle and Holly Mangold if they lined up on the other side right now. No push. No holes. It's a joke. And as far as the defense goes- Nolan Carroll needs to get the **** off my lawn. What an utterly useless sack of ****. I think he might've outgained the offense in penalty yardage. Here's hoping he's playing nickel corner in Jacksonville or Cleveland or on some other ****bag team next year.

Just curious, are rookies allowed to have bad games?

You guys act as if Dan Marino was our QB last year and now we have to deal with these -wah- really obnoxious rookie growing pains -wah-

How about we give RT, I don't know, an entire year... and, also, I don't know, LEGIT wide receivers... and, wait for it, a rb corp that isnt full of slippery vaginas. Is that really too much to ask for?

Criticism is absolutely fine and even rookies are open to it. There's a huge difference between rational criticism and nonsense Ryan Leaf comparisons. Don't lump them all together.

Honestly it is a lot to ask. Not every quarterback will have a great receiving corp, oline, coach, and running back. He'll be asked to do it himself sometimes and if he cant, bye.

Was I arguing that RT is free of criticism? All I said was give him a year (or more), give him talented play makers. Then, if he still sucks, make all the asinine comparisons you want. Whats wrong with that?

Also, anyone arguing that RT lost us this game is absolutely delusional. Sorry, it just seems like every other post on these boards is about how Tanne sucks... that's just not the case. A determination cannot be made about this just yet.

---------- Post added at 01:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:50 AM ----------

that's all well and good... but have perspective, please. We need more fans with perspective.

He just played his 9th (ninth) NFL game. And its not like he inherited a superbowl calibur team. Let's try to keep things in their proper focus.

Of course it is! Didn't you hear? Unless you step in and play like Tom Brady did right off the bat, you have absolutely no chance to be a successful QB in the league. If you throw more than 4 picks during your rookie season, it's DUUUUUUHHHHH BENCH THIS GUY, HE SUCKS DRAFT ANOTHER QB!!!!

No they weren't, and that's a huge myth being spread because all of all the big play attempts they called on tonight, not one of them worked out. One of them was caught, but for the defense. Sure, when the offense had about 12 plays in the first half, they hadn't tried that much long, but if anything there were too many aggressive throws that had little chance of being completed.

At any rate, our offense is on training wheels because both the OL suck and the QB is all over the place with his throws. You hear the sideline reporter talk at halftime about all the things the staff has said they are going to try to help Tannehill make plays, and realize that's because at this point he can't make more than one or two sporadic nice throws without them having to find a way to completely throw the defense off through a little trickery. At some point your QB has to be able to drop back and throw a freaking nice pass.

Although I live in Pennsylvania, I work with several other Dolphins fans. One of my co-workers thinks Long's body just wore out. I tended to agree with him, but I thought maybe Long could be signed for a signifcant discount and thrive on the right side of the line in the future. After I saw the Merriman play, I am finding it hard to convince myself he isn't close to being done.

yep there the ones sending the plays into Tanny, but we are in very very bad need at WR , BIG TALL WR maybe 2 of them and i agree , our OL needs to step up and play better ,and imo thomas and bush isnt the RB that we are lookin for , we need a ray rice ,adiran foster type RB ,and imo it didnt look like that we even came to play in the first half tonite .

He's certainly playing like that, and the fact of the matter is that his chances of re-signing with this team at a salary level that matches his play level right now is almost 0. He'll consider it an insult and I'm sure some team out there will be able to offer him a lucrative deal based on reputation or past play alone. Let him be their issue.

I don't like going into the offseason without an LT, but overpaying one and using limited cap space that could much more wisely and productively be spent elsewhere is absolutely not an answer.

Yes let's keep things in proper focus; other than Brees or Eli, you will not find a top 15 QB in this league who scored so little and had not actually lead his team to victory with clutch 4th quarter play at some point at this juncture in their careers.

Also, proper focus also needs to take into consideration that this team won 6 of its last 9 games. And we played the same team with very similar rosters on both sides and outscored them 65-31 in two huge wins, and that margin wouldn't have even been that close had the Bills not scored some garbage points in the second matchup. One of the only major changes for either team's roster was us and the QB position. Last year our QB had 5 TD's and no interceptions, while this year we had 1 Td and 2 INT's along with absolute pathetic third down success and laughable yardage.

Once you take the facts into "focus", it's pretty evident that the QB position is a major factor in us losing this game. We could have eased this team into having a young take the helm, but we sat down a QB who finished the year very strongly last year for a guy who wasn't even that impressive in preseason. I didn't ask for a rookie QB to be handed a starting job, and I'm not gonna excuse him for being a loser, which is what a guy who is given two opportunities to win a game and throw an interception both times is, no matter how long he has played.

I would laugh for 20 minutes straight if Ireland became the Jets new GM to reunite with his old pal Sparano.

That was a tough read. It's all the edgey-ness of Jay Leno with the execution of Dane Cook

I wonder how many people want to give Ireland all those high draft picks and 50 mill under the cap now? This team his as Gonzo put is a bleeding vaginal wart of roster talent! I total featuring labia blister at lt, lg, rg, te, rb, wr, de, olb, fs, and cb.

You can add Sean Smith, Jared Odrick, and Kia Misi to the we collect a game check for nothing club! I would be perfectly ok if you take them and Long then Channing Chrowser their career!

Considering where he was drafted, how much he was paid, what they didn't draft and how poor his play is currently, Jake Long's legacy will be that he was one of the worst decisions in a Dolphins draft.

I agree with this. A couple of productive years from a number one pick is a total misuse of a number one pick
