Your Athlete Stories

Got the idea from the main board about people meeting or running into Dolphins players. It seemed interesting so I was wondering who had a story about any athlete at all...whether it's other football players, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, tennis, wrestling, etc...lets here 'em!

Unfortunatly I have never met a pro athlete :fire:

My best personal experience meeting a pro has to be Pat Riley. My grandpa is best friends with Pat Riley's best friend. They all knew each other through basketball. Riley played ball up here in Schenectady, NY.

Anyways, there was a Schenectady Sports Hall of Fame Inductee about 4 years ago and my grandpa knowing the huge Heat fan I am invited me to come. It was an awesome experience, I got to shake his hand, get a picture with him. He's HUGE!! 6'9"! He had all his championship rings on. When I get home later I'll try and post the picture of me and him :wink:
