First off let me start by saying that Ronnie, Gus, or Chambers do not suck. Many people here are dissapointed by our lost, but saying that these guys suck is ludricous. Ronnie will play better, he is still a rook. Gus has surpriced me. He has looked better than what i was expecting, and Chambers needs to play like a number 1 receiver, but he is still our best receiver.
The main reason why we lost the game are because of stupid, bone-head plays.
Offside penalties, 6 drop balls, Db falling down triiping himself, rook hitting qb after he is out of bounce, etc... These stupid penalties negated drives and were momentum changers. Saban will review these stupid mental errors and we will play better next week.

that is how you lose on the road no doubt, you can over come them at home sometimes, but it is a long year and they are going to get better

Maybe CC does not suck. But noone can deny CC has sucked.

Bro, I have to agree and disagree:

Frerotte does suck
Ronnie Brown doesn't suck, per se, but he was a wasted pick at #2
Chambers doesn't suck...Frerotte does suck.

The mistakes were mental. Why the hell we spent a #2 on a RB whose right now not even the best RB on the team is beyond me while we passed on a trade up to take a franchise QB.

PS: Caddy is a Rook also and he outplayed the f__k out of our 'Rook"

If we would have scored a TD on that nice first quarter drive I think we would have won the game....instead we got NO POINTS and Mare shanks it...that got the ball rolling in the wrong direction and we never recovered.

While the penalties and miscues are a major part of our lack of success, you can't dismiss the OL and QB play blindly...Brown can be excused because of our poor OL play. Gus couldn't hit the Burger King guy in the clear today. His recievers didn't help him any either. BTW...the Jests exposed our secondary for what it is, and we can look forward to other teams trying to do the same.

What I really like to know is...When is Saban going to lose it on someone after one of these stupid miscues ?? It'll be fun to watch at any rate...

While I disagree with the QB and Gus play, the biggest weak spot is still the O-line. Gus did alright today considering the number of dropped passes and a good jets d-line that were in the back field most of the day.

That was a huge momentum change! I just think as the season goes on more things will fall into place the O-line will gel a little better and pick up there inconsistant play and I think you will see a great improvement in Ronnie next week we play the Carolina Panthers but were home so it will be a battle.

whoa there people you are all forgetting

something very important here chris chambers is a very good reeceiver but he is truely handicaped by the qb factor , therefore if our qb isnt getting the job done chris isnt going to shine for us. Plus this oline isnt that much better then last year . we need to get a good receivers coach like robert ford who i think could have been a good factor id chris 's development.
REALISTICLY , we need to draft two really good linemen and a qb but chris isnt the whole problem.

Last I checked, San Francisco's franchise QB is on the bench...

Thank goodness you're not our GM...

Yep, that excactly where most franchise QBs spend their first season. I'm not sure what your point is or if you even have one.

Chambers has dropped to many important balls in the first two games, he simply must improve in this area or he won't be in this league long.

Gus? Gus is the best starting Qb we have had since Marino retired. Line any other QB up on our roster behind this line and you get last season: 4 - 12 and most interceptions returned for a TD. That's also the reason he will be starting for the rest of the season, and Feeley will be unemployed/with another team come 2006.

Our line looked horrible, there was constant pressure on Gus and Brown had little or no running room.

If anyone needs to step up it's Chambers and the O-line. Gus is going short and long, there really isn't much excuse anymore, he needs to pick those balls up.

Oh and the penalties killed us......3 on the Jets first drive? we practically handed them the first score.
