Elvis Dumervil DE Louisville

I think hes the 3rd or 4th best DE talent wise in this draft but with the year hes having that could very well change. Hes already racked up 20 sacks this season and theres still more games to go

Hes only 6 foot and 260 lbs. but he reminds lots of people of Dwight Freeney. Not saying miami should grab him but if ehs there in the second round even though we took roth this guy would be an option for sure

Reminds who of Dwight Freeney? That's a bad comparison & whoever did that must only be comparing them by size not type of player. Freeney runs a 4.4 & plays like it even vs the best LTs. Dumervil runs a 4.6-4.7 & only racks up sacks vs scrub college LTs & doens't play any good ones the rest of the year. Dumervil is about #8 in the rankings of senior DEs & if guys like Mario Williams, Ray Edwards, & Lamarr Woodley declare then he goes down further. The only way his stock shoots up is if he proves it at the Senior Bowl. Dewayne White was Louisville's last great DE that put up great #s, & who I thought was a surefire first round pick. He didn't show it vs top talent & fell to the last pick of the 2nd round.

Ray Edwards

Great physical talent but hasn't done anything to date really that improved himself from last year. Well I guess really that whole D is playing subpar. What a wasted year for the whole team. Installing that Meyer like spread offense destroyed the team.:shakeno:

Good call on Dumervil

Anyone who watched Big East games that year knew he was going to be a force in the NFL. Owners and GMs were just too stupid to overlook his size. Also, he had no sacks in his last few college games, so teams thought he wouldn't be able to withstand the longer NFL schedule. Yeah, it was a good call, but in October 05 he was expected to be a 1st-rounder to a team needing an OLB. By the date this thread started, the guy had 15 sacks in 7 games, so it's not like he's Nostradamus lol.

Great bump. And for a sec, I thought we had a Buddwalk sighting!

I miss the good ole days when I was a ***** and complained alot. Those were the days....now everyone is gone.
