I'd easily give Bosh the max.

I don't think Melo has any business getting the same amount as LBJ & Wade though.

Yup, if Kapono's not moved. I expect Derek Anderson to be moved or let go.

I never expected DAnderson back anyway. Now it sucks we couldnt have got Diaz for Kapono with the pick up of this Gansey kid...

Good news for the Heat.

USA Today - Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat are working on a five-year contract extension, with the hope that a deal will be struck before Wade leaves for USA Basketball's summer training camp later this month.

Wade is eligible for a deal worth about $80 million; the exact value of the extension, much like the one agreed to by Carmelo Anthony with Denver and the one offered to LeBron James in Cleveland, will not be known until the salary cap for the 2007-08 season is set.

New contracts cannot be signed before July 12. Wade is expected to report to practice with the U.S. world championships team in Las Vegas on July 19.

We're probably gonna sign a PG or too; nothing high profile. I wouldn't mind both Tony Delk & Eddie House. Tony Delk is a good defender who can shoot, and Eddie House is instant offense. Good combo of guys to have off the bench. I don't know if Riles goes after an unproven player like Marcus Banks, but we'll probably take a look at Chucky Atkins too.

PLEASE...NO TONY DELK. He really CAN'T SHOOT and is a pathetic defender in space...he is an okay help defender..but he is absolutely worthless.

Eddie House...Ah..maybe.

I am holding out for Chris Duhon...I would even take the ole' clutch and grabber Lindsey Hunter...but PLEASE...NO DELK!

Detroit gets much weaker...and the Bulls hurt themselves in a matchup with the Heat but help themselves against the rest of the conference.

We might have just won the EC again...and we haven't played a game yet.

Chris Duhon won't be a free agent until next summer, and he's going to get a huge offer. We'll have the MLE once again next summer, and that won't be enough for Duhon.

Check this article about Wade agreeing on the 5-year deal:

The Heat has had preliminary discussions with the agent for Eddie House, whom the Heat selected in the second round of the 2000 draft. House rejuvenated his career with Phoenix last season, averaging 9.8 points in 17.5 minutes per game.

Agent Mark Bartelstein said the Heat also inquired about two of his other free-agent clients, forwards Devean George and Darius Songaila.

I've been a huge Eddie House fan since we picked him in the second round of the 2000 NBA Draft, and I was pretty pissed when we didn't even make an effort to re-sign him three years later. Word is, the only reason he opted out of his contract with Phoenix.......is to re-join the Miami Heat. I'd be very, very happy if this comes true. Talk about a guy who averaged 10 points in 18 minutes, and really, that's not because of Phoenix's system either. Give this guy 20-25 minutes a night, and he'll give you 10-15 points off the bench.

I don't know much about Darius Songaila, and to me, Devean George is garbage. I think we may of contacted Bartelstein about them before James Posey decided not to opt out - I mean, I sure hope so.

Gansey's got a nice shot and can find the open man but he has a long way to be successful in the pros, still should have been a 2nd round pick. Most of the foreigners won't make it. 15 of the 60 players selected were from other countries. That is 25 percent of the draft.

Did Pittsnogle end up anywhere?

He'll be in our summer league, but he doesn't have a contract offer anywhere.

Anybody seen Pittsnogle play before? Utah's scouts were raving about him..

I watched some of him at WVU. He's a big guy who can knock down a 3. I guess a comparison to him would be someone like Radmanovic (And he was the 12th pick overall in 2001).

WVU's whole team lived and died by the 3.

It won't. I can't wait to see house back.

Edit: Here's a picture from his days as a Heat.
