I hate to to think about what might have been, but here is a question that just came to me.What if Wandstatd hadn't run Ricky into retirement(85% of the Fins offense). There are alot of tangables to think about. If Ricky didn't retire, what kind of season would the Fins have had last year.Would Wanny still be coaching in Miami, where would we have drafted and who would we take?don't get me wrong,i'm soooooo glad Wanny is gone, I never liked him,or J.Johnson(I HATE the Cowboys)or the fact that the only reason Wanny got the job was because he was a buddy of JJ. I'm glad we have a new coach and i'm stoked to have Ronnie in the back field,I'm even glad Ricky is back(he's been my fav player since he played at Texas),just wondering what would happen if........

Did Wanny make Ricky fail 3 drug tests????
Was Wanny the one who got Ricky hooked on the High Times train?

I must have missed that.

It's amazing how many of you simply can't see the obvious that is right in front of your face.

On another note, it is a good thing that happened because it did help end Wanny's reign.

Not sure about Ricky, but he made me fail multiple drug and psychiatric tests !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes and no. He didn't make him take drugs, but, by running him so damn much, he made him not care about taking the drugs, which is why he failed the drug tests. It helped lead to his retirement, but it wasnt that big a deal.

i dont think anything would have changed except we would be with a rookie quaterback instead of ronnie. but i still think we would have had that embarrasing season it was unavoidable. if you look back at the past few years things were getting bad. wanny set us up with that when he started his reign as the worst coach in dolphins history.

Wanny was his same old self last night. The other coach made half-time adjustments and he didn't know what to do about it.

I am relieved that we had that season last year and he is gone. Watching Shula all those years really spoiled me...if we were close at halftime, I knew we could win.

Worst coach in Dolphins history? I think not.

Division titles: Wanny (1), JJ (0). Say what you want about Wanny doing it with JJ's players, but the fact remains that Wanny posted back-to-back 11-win regular seasons, and JJ never did that (and, of course, he had his players). What were the key additions to that 2000 team? Jay Fiedler and Lamar Smith. You cannot tell me that the 2000 team had more talent than the 1999 team.

Also, who was the Dolphins' first coach, before Shula, in the 60's? Surely he is the worst coach, at least record-wise.

he got us a division title but wat did we do with it, absolutly nothing. yea he put together a good team but then he ran it into the ground. he put everything on ricky to carry the team and didnt do anything anywhere else, instead of getting ricky he could have used that to get a quaterback, and then drafted a rb instead of wasting all of the picks on 2 players. he made some of the worst deals ive ever seen and then when things got bad he picked up and left us with them. he gave us the worst team in miami history
