After the "wins dont matter" speech that ESPN and the media misconstrued.. That would really be sticking it to those sensationalist bafoons..

If we went 9-7, Saban deserves Coach of the Year.

Dungy has all that talent on his team. What does Miami have?

I agree he would deserve that award, but I disagree with your implication that this Dolphins team is lacking in talent. I think we have a lot of talent. I think a lot of ppl have been saying for quite some time what this team was lacking was total faith from its players in the new schemes that were implimented this off-season by all the new coaches. As time goes by this team with almost the same talent in the future will be a force in the NFL. We have talent on all 3 sides of the ball.

Phrased it wrong. I meant in comparison to Indy.

You have a point there, and I think I understand your point. You're talking about with the QB position? If that is the case I agree. Gus has come on, but it is doubtful he is the long term answer for this team at QB.

I believe it was transitioning into Sabans team which takes time. It now seems we are seeing the light. Linehan moving to the sidelines meant instead of him seeing just half of the field through his QB, he is now seeing the whole field. I know that sounds strange but it is true. We are using the whole field now and WR's are breaking off their routes and getting open and Gus is seeing it as well as Sage.

Winning will depend on players buying into the system. When a player finally see's the light, and does what he's told the change is like flicking on a light( See Chris Chambers)...

CBS announcers who did our game claimed we have little talent. A lot of media types have said that.

I think we have talent, but not enough. That's what we'll look for in the draft and offseason

We should have the next two home games in our pockets. 8-7 would REALLY look nice going in to the NE game with the season we've had in the 1st half. The toughie is going to be vs the Pats. If we can win that one and finish on a six game win streak, I'd say Saban gets coach of the year, especially considering we started 3-7. He's really turned this team around and got us looking in a favorable position to make some noise next season.

I am just happy to have to have an actual coach on the sideline. It has been a long time since I felt we could be make changes at halftime. Not since the days of Shula have we had that ability.

The hiring of Johnson may be looked back upon in the future as the greatest mistake of this organization.

Even if we get to .500 i think Saban has to coach of the year

I mean look at teams who suck it takes them a couple years to get good but its taken us less than a year to get back into form..

Houston, Arizona , SF
These teams have sucked now for a couple years and have not had such a huge comeback.

If we end this season 9-7 or 8-8 i cant wait to see how were goign to be next year.:D :D :D

Tony Dungy has done a good job but come on, half of his team are 1st rounders and Indy won't go undefeated, they will lose to a Chargers team which really needs the win while the Colts don't have anything else to play for. If the Colts do go undefeated than Dungy is a lock for coach of the year.

BTW didn't Marvin Lewis win coach of the year his rookie year when the Bengals went 8-8? if so than Saban deserves it for turning a 4-12 team into a 9-7 team

If we end up going 9-7 or 8-8 I have to say Ill be very happy, even if it means missing the playoffs. Im sure a lot of people here will be upset with that type of season, but I think its a drastic improvement from last year. Our young players are looking great and the team has confidence..i hope it carries over to next season and maybe then we can get into the playoffs.

Unfortunately, if Dungy coaches an undefeated team, it would be a crime to not give him coach of the year. Think about it.

Even if they lose out, he'll get it.
