about texas D. They played great. Vince Young was great too. 200 yd rushing was the killer.

that great defense gave up 38 points. the only good part of the defense was the secondary, who locked down receivers and made big plays

And shut down Reggie Bush. LenDale was a different story for most of the game, but we contained Reggie. As much as I don't wanna admit it, USC did give us some probs. We still got more key stps than them, which is what I said all along gave us the best shot at winning, but they put up what, 500 something yards on us and 38 points? I wouldn't call that playing "great" but I'd consider it pretty good considering who the opponent was and the fact that we shut down Reggie and, for the most part, contained their passing game.

yes, and when you shutdown reggie bush, leinart comes through in the clutch. extremely accurate in the 2nd half. i have to question that 3rd down play at like the 7 yard line where he threw it to byrd on the sidelines, and he should've either thrown it sooner or just ran for the 1st. doesn't matter, white ran for the TD on the next play. other than that, he was moving well in the pocket and throwing darts to all areas of the field. nice strong arm :)

Not sure I agree with the "darts" or "nice strong arm" comment, but I do agree that Leinart stepped it up and I also have no clue why he threw that pass. I also gotta give props to Griffin, that INT was NASTY.

You are right. We are all a bunch of morons who just bask in the light that is your infinite college football wisdom.

Some people just have different opinions on certain players, that doesnt mean they dont know what the hell they are talking about.

I'm in agrement with you. I don't think I saw a dart the whole night. They both get the passes completed, but neither had much "zip".

Matt Leinart's arm isn't all that bad, his only weakness I seen was that he tries to put too much touch on the ball sometimes, and it tends to float on him. Other than that, whoever drafts him will be very happy for the next few years.

i do find it interesting that mr. short-winded elitist has gotten so untucked about Leinhart and USC the past 20 hours that he's gotten himself suspended over it all...

seems plain to me that it would have just been much easier to, for once, just say "my favorite player is human, the better team won"

Leinart was 29-40 for 365 and a TD and one INT...not exactly terrible numbers.

It was'nt his fault the USC defense forgot to show up.

24 hours after the game and I'm realizing that Vince Young, who was excellent, is getting FAR too much credit.

The MVP's of that game should have been the five beasts he has blocking for him. The Texas O-line was unreal last night. I can't remember 5 times when Young was pressured.
