my spring training World Series prediction was Mets over White Sox.

The Mets might make it, but Chicago is toast

The Mets might not make it out of the first round if Petey isn't healthy.

Even if hes not, as long as we score our normal 5-7runs a game it might not matter. Only Philly, houston and florida really played the mets tough and its looking like only 1 of those 3, philly has a shot at the postseason...and since the phillies win **** even less often then the mets...well not to sound like an *** but im not worried a lot. Anything less then at least a trip to the WS is a major dissappointment.

congratulations mets fans. i will be rooting for you guys to win it all cause i really like wright and reyes.

thank god... i honestly do not remember following baseball when the mets last won the east. wow!!! i agree that the ws apperance is standard in expectations for mets fans. i know i would be bummin if we didnt even get that far.

I really did not like the way they celebrated last night, you would have thought they just won the Series.

Now its time to come back to earth and start playing baseball!

you didn't like the way they celebrated???? :sidelol:

Dude, when you start in February, and play for a team that hasn't won a division since 1988, and win the division.........you party. The Mets will throw minor leaguers out there from now till Oct, don't expect much.

just remember in 1988 the Mets beat the Dodgers 10 out of 11 times in the regular season.

Then lost to LA in the NLCS!

(that's why the Mets partied like they did last night, anything can happen in October. That might be their only celebration, you just never know)

I don't buy it. Act like you been there before. They went overboard last night. I'm not say don't celebrate. But they have done nothing yet. This team should be focused on one thing, winning the World series.

And I would not be throwing Minor leaguers out to much, they need to stay sharp.

1) Most of those guys haven't been there before (Wright, Reyes, Delgado,Wagner...etc)

2) This team was predicted to finish 3rd or so in that divison. You gotta party it up.

3) The Mets will use SEPTEMBER CALL UPs to their full advantage. Pedro will throw his 4 innings from here on out. Wright, Beltran, Delgado, and Reyes won't go past 6 innings in most games. With a lot of off days inbetween
