wow

4 runs in the top of the tenth and you lose? what the hell

If Girardi finds a way to get them into the playoffs now, he isn't the manager of the year. He is the manager of the century!

I think its over now

Girardi should get that award anyway, no one expected this team to play as good as it has, for the Marlins this is more of a beginning than an end(unless the team is dismantled again).

Yea its definetly looks bleak for the Fish now, what a season tho, still not over but tip your hats off to Girardi . . . we probably needed a solid setup man in that pen to have a better shot at the WC, but man does this team look even better now with a year experience, I hope Loria isn't a complete idiot and gets rid of him, I'm looking forward to seeing good things for this team next year. Go Fish!!

Sad.. just sad.. Nice season young Marlins.. you did the best you could. Something to look forward next season.

D-train in Chicago with the White Sox and Girardi across town as manager of the Cubs.

He's the owner from the movie MAJOR LEAGUE, except he doesn't have the nice asssssssss and breasts that lady had!

I'm not diametrically opposed to dealing Willis from a baseball standpoint since he'll fetch a lot on the open market, but we match up much better with many teams other than the Sox. Sure, they have Brian Anderson, Ryan Sweeney, and Jerry Owens in the outfield prospect category, but if we trade Willis in the position we're in now, we're getting a whole lot more than that.

Arizona and Chris Young with a whole lot more added on is a better fit than the Sox. So is LA with Kemp and Martin or LAA with Figgins, Kendrick, and Santana.

Still, there's no reason to trade D-Train any more. We have plenty of salary room to take on, and since the new CBA will probably have a quiet salary floor, someone's gotta get them there. Plus, this is the worst time to trade Willis. He's coming off a bad year by his standards. His control has been downright awful at times. Even his bat and glove were subpar relative to the last few years. If he's traded, it will be during a season when someone is really, really desperate for pitching help and will sell the farm for it. But a friendly contract extension is more likely, made even more likely by the fact that 80% of the Marlins' rotation (Willis, Johnson, Olsen, Nolasco) is represented by Sosnick-Cobbe, which means there's going to have to be a good rapport between team and agent.

If Dontrelle Willis gets traded, we are going to get a nice prospect athlete. Dontrelle Willis loves this organization, and if he gets traded, he would want the Florida Marlins to get a good player in return. That's just the type of person he is.

Also, MikeO, keep dreaming. Girardi is staying.

I actually heard that the Marlins feel really bad about screwing the Cubs by trading Matt Clement and others for Willis and Juilian Taveras therefore the Marlins are going to do the right thing and trade Willis to the Red Sox for Matt Clement and because the Sox are such a great franchise they're going to add Taveras in the deal and pay for his 2007 contract. How does that sound? I'll call Theo and my guys, you called your guys.
