for me it's good and bad...the good is obvious, national tv, turkey day in front of the world. The bad side, is having to watch it during a family get together filled with fighting and yelling and people bothering me while trying to watch the game.

Luckily, my wife and mom are both diehard Dolphin fans, so that shouldn't be a problem in the Dr. Z household.

the Miami Dolphins have never lost on Thanksgiving (and with their orange jerseys too!)

I know for a fact we lost a Thanksgiving game to the Cowboys in 99 I think? Marino had come back from an injury and threw 3 picks or something... it was also the return of JJ to Dallas.

Actually, the Dolphins WON that game in Dallas in the snow. It was the infamous Leon Lett game, if I recall correctly.

EDIT to include: Sorry, that was in 1993. I think you're right about 1999. (We lost the Cowboys 20-0.)

The Dolphins last played a Thanksgiving Day game in 2003. Our record is 4-1

Our only loss was in 1999 a Thanksgiving day shutout to Dallas 20-0!

I also found these 3 Turkey Day wins highlighted but cant find the other win.

QB Bob Griese becomes first NFL quarterback since 1972 to throw six TD passes in a game, and Dolphins set records of 55 points and 503 yards in 55-14 rout on Thanksgiving Day at St. Louis.

The Dolphins post a come-from-behind 16-14 win over the defending and eventual Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day on a sleet covered field at Texas Stadium. Miami improves 3-0 on Thanksgiving as the team had posted victories at St. Louis (55-14 on November 24, 1977) and at Dallas (14-7 on November 22, 1973). In the contest, Miami trails 14-13 with just 15 seconds left in regulation and Pete Stoyanovich's 41-yard field goal attempt for the win is blocked by the Cowboys' Jimmie Jones. However, Dallas' Leon Lett attempts to pick up the loose ball and fumbles and Miami's Jeff Dellenbach recovers the ball on the one-yard line with three seconds remaining. Stoyanovich converts on his second chance and boots a 19-yard field goal on the game's final play to win the contest. The win improves Miami's record to an NFL best 9-2, but the team will fail to win another game during the remainder of the season.

The Dolphins improve their Thanksgiving Day record to 4-1 with a 40-21 victory over the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium. The Dolphins wore their "throwback" jerseys, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 1973 team that captured the club's second straight Super Bowl title.

P.S. did find this tidbit on MNF

MONDAY NIGHT MADNESS IN MIAMI
In their history, the Dolphins have appeared on ABC Monday Night Football a total of 71 times, the most of any NFL team, and six games ahead of the Dallas Cowboys, whose 65 games are second-most in the 35-year history of MNF. In those 71 contests, the Dolphins have compiled a record of 39-32, including a home record of 32-17 (14-13 at Dolphins Stadium) and a road register of 7-15. Their 39 victories also are the most in the history of MNF, one ahead of the Cowboys, who have posted 38 victories. The 2005 season will mark just the second in which the Dolphins have not been slated for a Monday night game since its inception in 1970, with the other being 1989.

The other was a 14-7 victory over Dallas in 1973
