Thanksgiving Day Game Now Unlikely

Mike O I don't think the last comment was needed. He was just explaining it his way.
Maybe you could of said, it would be easier explained like this, and try to help him out a little, then to be negative.

KC hosts an NFC team.......the game is on FOX.

Detriot at home vs an AFC team on CBS
KC at home vs and NFC team on FOX
Dallas-Washington on NFL Network

Don't make this harder than it is!
In that case would we still play Detriot on Turkey Day?

All NFC North games I'll probably see on TV because of localness, but Detroit is the least likely, Oh Joy

Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm going to wait until the schedule comes out and then see when and where we play. Call me crazy.

Sweet........

So we WILL still have an excellent shot at playing on Thanksgiving this year @ Detroit.

:D :D :D :D

Wait a second! Since when did they add a 3rd Thanksgiving game. I was under the impression that the Dallas/Redskins game was on the NFL Network, the Lions game would be on CBS, and FOX didn't get a game. Where did you hear of them adding this third game?

Ya, because KC will take the place of the Dallas game at the 4:00 eastern time slot, and Dallas was going to be the FOX game this year, so KC will be the FOX game and will play an NFC team. That means Detroit will be on CBS and have to play an AFC team, which means its between the Dolphins and Bills. I think the Dolphins will get the nod.

Yup. Besides, if Fox is made to give up the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, I would think they would strongly request the NFL give them something better than Detroit for the second year in a row.

isnt there a rule that when an NFC and AFC team play eachother, the network for the road team broadcasts the game. (Fox for NFC and CBS for AFC)

yeah comcast is the deal, i get nfl network, and i got the dvr with it too..... its a pretty good deal

The Bills and Lions on National TV? Wouldn't that like, tear a hole in the universe?

All of this guessing is based on the premise that KC is getting a Thanksgiving game...and I don't see any evidence of that happening.

IF a third Thanksgiving game is added, the last thing the NFL would do is lock it in one city (do you think they like having to do Detroit every year?). They would rotate it around the league...and Miami would be just as likely to host as anyone else.
