i'll trade a backup RB over a 2nd rounder who could start right away for us and contribute.

But, probably never be as good as that backup who is just as good as the starter. Not me. Draft picks are far from sure bets. Everybody remembers the stars but nobody remembers the thousands of marginal players or guys who don't make it.

Culpepper is overrated. Look at his games with Moss out and you get to see how good Culpepper really is. However, I would not be strickly aginst him being a 'fin but he had better not be one of the higher paid ones...
............,
..................And how did Moss do without Culpeper

He had his worst yards, catches, second worse in TD'S, in years he played all 16 games....point being Moss misses Dante just as much. And in Miami he could have Chambers and TO.What did and will Moss have next year ?

people in Minnesota would start a riot if they traded Rickey for Daunte

Cleo straight up for him. And he gets no gaurantee to start. He'd make a solid back-up to Gus.

ricky playing well next year isn't a sure thing. nothing is a sure thing. that's why you trust your coaches and scouts to make the right moves. those 2nd rounds that don't end up well are usually a result of poor coaching. i trust saban to do the right thing.

Every year Ricky has played he has played well. I'd say there's a better chance Ricky doesn't play than play poorly. History backs that up. I guess what I'm saying is that I'd rather have Ricky than say a Matt Roth.

But that doesn't mean he will continue to be, despite Wilf's previous pledge to pay Culpepper a $6 million bonus he's due in March.

They will either pay him and keep him or they will cut him. The Vikings are fishing for a trade, if they want to get rid of him, then wait for them to cut him.

The rumor on ESPN and SI was that all they wanted was a 2 for him...

If it wasn't because Moss was gone why did Dante's production make that total drop off last year?

And why did the Vikings play soooo much better with basically the same team when Brad started again?

I remember JJ was very high on him when he came into the NFL. Honestly I just find his little dance annoying as hell..

QB's should be a little more aloof and professional than that....

I like the idea of a NEW young qb making it big here rather than an existing one...

We share a very similar opinion of Culpepper...He is not the answer...he's overpaid and overatted....

And yeah that little speed bag dance is as cheezy as it gets! Almost as bad as Mcnaab's michael jackson routines..

i think we should do a ricky for culpepper trade straight up
Don't you sometimes wonder why the **** the want to get rid of Culpeper if he's so darn good??? I mean he is a franchise player isn't he???

Ricky and a #2 might get the deal done.

why would you trade Ricky and a second rounder for him, when they were saying this morning that all that the Vikings were asking for him was a second round pick?

oh great now we can have a QB whos hurt every year and a start brown who hasnt started a whole season since high school.

I went to UCF and i have respect for Culpepper but We do not need to take someone who is constantly getting hurt...

what's nice about this is once the vikins get rid of him they'll have more cap to so it'd be a good trade ricky for culpepper on bolth sides, they get a cheap running back that is good and has experience and keep brad johnson while we finally get our first franchise QB sicne marino
